I installed 5.5.1 without uninstalling previous.  Went right in and works fine. Shows as updated in TrackIR and in Windows Apps.

Ditto. I've noticed that TIR loads on start up. Hasn't done that since Queen Victoria was on the throne! 😁

The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

TrackIr kept loosing connection so the update was a godsend for me.

Have not had a problem since the update.

The developer already stated on their forum that it has bugs that they haven't been able to fix. I don't understand why anyone would want to install it???

uninstalled it and reinstalled version 5.4.2 restored my profiles and all is good.

I'll pass on this

Hi Vic,

5.4.2 is the last working software version on my system too.  The 3 updates after that all do not work.  I tried updating but the app would at first not detect the device.  Uninstalled, cleared all TrackIR and Naturalpoint folders to no avail.  Eventually got the device to show on the app but only 4 red lights showed, no green or blue lights.  TrackIR software would not show any head movement at all, regardless if connected to the sim or not.  Posted on their forums and for now gone back to 5.4.2 which has worked for many years.

Ive been using the same old TiR v4 unit for amost 20 years, as long as I've known you Vic through the old newsgroup 😁

It is working fine with the older software.  You can download the different versions of the app.  Going to re-try installing the latest after removing the hardware from the usb slot (didnt try that way before)

Please give us feedback if you find the chance to try it.

I haven't yet made up my mind about purchasing it. It's very expensive 😕

It's half the cost of the Tobii, which as far as I understand, is not as precise as it may just rely on a camera rather than infrared. I dont own a tobii so maybe wrong on how it works exactly

Yeah Chris - I've had mine forever also. 5.4.2 works perfectly so, unless the new version has some magical improvements, it's not worth the effort to try and get it to work.

I am with you, I hate fixing things that aren't broken.
