August 24, 20241 yr I've been trying to resist buying one and I still use edtracker pro with trackir, but I used a TI5 for a couple years until it broker under repair and it was really great. I miss the 6DOF, and VR is not and option for me 😕 there is also a link to a document with a recent review of the latest trackir5 at AVSIM's main page. I installed it and several issues 1) no matter where I told it to install, it went to C:\ProgramFiles(x86) 2) would not connect with my TIR uninstalled it and reinstalled version 5.4.2 restored my profiles and all is good. August 24, 20241 yr As mentioned if TIR works fine with the sims you use, there is absolutely no need to install this update. The TIR website's info for this new driver lists among other things fixes due to problems with unsigned TIR DLLs. Now that is a big surprise to me, considering what this says about their company. August 25, 20241 yr For anyone that downloads the 5.5.1 update. DON'T it messed up everything up for me. I rolled a back the driver and TIR is working fine again.

I'll pass on this think there is a work around mentioned in the dcs forum ts important to unplug the USB-Camera first before you install the new Version. 1. Deinstall the current Version 2. Unplug the USB-Camera 3. Install the new Version as Administrator 4. Replug the USB-Camera 5. August 25, 20241 yr I updated it and it did not work for DCS and MSFS. Using windows program uninstall the TrackIR window opened up to repair or uninstall. I clicked repair and it did its thing and it works perfectly now in both sims. 5.5.1 David Murden.
