As premium users of 2020, we will be able to use our airports and aircraft in MSFS 2024. Cheers! If you own Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) Deluxe Edition or Premium Deluxe Edition the additional aircraft and airports unique to these editions will automatically work in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Here I only fly from/to addon airports so 2x De Luxe version should then be enough ( having 2x MSFS 2020 Premiun de Luxe ) if I am correct. Or is it only the additional ac/airports that come with the DeLuxe or Premium DeLuxe that will work MSFS 2024… Edited September 21, 20241 yr by GSalden 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0

Please note that while the updated FAQ has confirmed that aircraft in our current Premium Deluxe versions will work in 2024, they will work AS THEY ARE. Purchasing each tier of the sim gives you access to upgraded versions of the current ones. So if you're not interested in having a better version of your 787, Longitude etc. Go ahead and purchase the standard version, otherwise, you might want to get the higher tiers right off the bat to avoid paying an additional premium to upgrade later. “For content you already purchased in MSFS 2020, upgrades to Microsoft-produced content (e.g. Reno Air Races, Local Legends, Famous Flyers, Expert Series) will be free to you.” According to this we would get the upgraded version of the premium deluxe content from 2020, even if we buy the standard version of the new sim Edited September 21, 20241 yr by Niko_

(It's a weird situation if they mean you'll get the old MSFS 2020 version of the plane in MSFS 2024 as that will result in MS having to maintain two different versions of 10 planes over the lifetime of '24) Edited September 21, 20241 yr by Matchstick
September 21, 20241 yr I'm going for premium deluxe just because it includes new S340B and several other new ones. From what I understand the Aviators edition adds all of the Asobo payware AC like legends/vintage which I don't use and didn't buy.
September 21, 20241 yr Just a heads up: it’s still unclear whether Premium Deluxe owners of MSFS20 will receive free upgrades of the Premium Deluxe aircraft and airports. This will certainly be expanded on next week. So you might want to wait with your pre-order, if you don’t care about the new planes More info here in the official Forum Edited September 21, 20241 yr by Niko_

Anyways, the MSFS team is allowing the 787 and other aircraft for 2020 Premium Deluxe owners to carry over to MSFS 2024. This is awesome news and I think I'll probably end up buying the Standard Version of MSFS 2024. No worries, my friend! And believe it or not, I'm genuinely happy to be proven wrong in this case 😁 👍

How can one say this after everyone, having had the privilege to actually play MSFS 2024, claims the exact opposite. Just looking at the previews you watched should be enough to prove your point utterly wrong? Cheers, Bert AMD Ryzen 5900X, 32 GB RAM, RTX 3080 Ti, Windows 11 Home 64 bit, MSFS 2024

All the airports & aircraft included in MSFS 2020 Premium or Deluxe versions should work in MSFS 2024. They don't mention it, but I'm assuming that they are the updated to 2024 versions. MSFS

The grand canyon in 2020 does not look like how it does in 2024. The Grand Canyon in 2024 is Photogrammetry, it is not Photogrammetry in 2020 Edited September 21, 20241 yr by Tuskin38

In fact I’m very surprised they basically give us the D/PD aircraft and airports “for free”. Surely they’ll loose a lot of money this way. Or loose revenue I guess. But the 2024 versions if we get the standard version? I’ll probably get PD to be sure. There might be some new interesting aircraft as well. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

But, if you want a certain aircraft that was not in your 2020 fleet, then you'll have to buy the MSFS 2024 version of your choice. MSFS
