Well, that could also be due to the Win 11 24H2 update which is reported to cause trouble with some games. It might have been installed around the same time as the NVidia driver.

It might have been installed around the same time as the NVidia driver. The problem is that the Nvidia driver, the AAU update and the Wondows update have all come around at about the same time, making it tricky to tell which one is causing people issues. I'm pretty sure it was not the Nvidia driver personally, but the other 2 have been a bit iffy. October 4, 20241 yr I’m on 24H2 (Insider build) and latest driver. Haven’t noticed anything suspicious. I usually don’t install drivers until checking the forums, but this time the driver was somehow installed automatically. Btw anyone using the DDU method? I wonder if it’s really necessary… Edited October 4, 20241 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

I had used it several times before that but again, only when necessary. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

October 4, 20241 yr I'm using NVCleanstall to update drivers. This tool is very convenient, you can customize which parts of the NVidia package will be installed and thus avoid a lot of the unnecessary bloatware that comes with the package. Quote NVCleanstall lets you customize the NVIDIA GeForce Driver package by removing components that you don't need (or want). This not only keeps things tidy, but also lowers disk usage and memory footprint. Unlike the NVIDIA custom installation, you can unselect packages like "Stereo 3D Glasses", "USB-C", Notebook Optimizations or Telemetry from the NVIDIA drivers. Edited October 4, 20241 yr by -Belga-

Set priority to high in the settings as well via this program. Eric

Does that app allow you to do per app 3D Settings changes like how the Nvidia Control Panel we've had forever allows you to do global and per app changes to settings? I have a number of games I change things for and haven't tried that new app yet since it was a beta and missing a lot of features apparently when it first released. I just never bothered to keep track of it after that since it sounded a bit like a new GeForce Experience or something which I also stopped installing.
