October 30, 20241 yr Yes. If you compress all the text into a zip archive, that's exactly what it would be called: 737_is_fixed.zip. October 30, 20241 yr Is there a zip file that tells me I can just keep downloading navigraph data through the navigraph hub rather than the tablet? That whole move seems like a (broken) solution to a problem no one was having. Not really. xBox users can't access the Navigraph Hub and so cannot update their NavData for PMDG aircraft. With the tablet interface, they can. Yes, that is the primary reason that PMDG, working in conjunction with Navigraph, developed the system to update Nav data via the tablet. Without that, XBox users would forever be “stuck” with old Nav data, because there is no way the Navigraph hub will ever work with an XBox installation. Security certificate errors can be an issue for any internet-enabled app, and can produce symptoms that are very hard to troubleshoot if the certificate holder (in this case Amazon AWS) does not inform clients that a certificate has changed or needs to be updated. October 30, 20241 yr What I read is: the Navigraph update hang problem is fixed with no user action required, and the spinning logo problem has been identified and that fix is coming in an update (hopefully) Thursday. It's not 'word salad'. RSR's style is expansive, conversational and maybe a little verbose at times, but his sentence structure, grammar and usage are all 100% correct. October 30, 20241 yr Sounds like this might have been the issue, but who knows, really - https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/security/options-for-aws-customers-who-use-entrust-issued-certificates/ However, PMDG's CEO has directly and explicitly apologized to his paying customers, and promised a fix that comes out tomorrow. This is perfectly fine in my book, even if he does tend to ramble on and on. That's just his style. I just want my planes to work, and that should be on the cards tomorrow onwards (hopefully!) October 30, 20241 yr I'm glad that PMDG found and fixed their navdata problem. What I don't understand is why I was one of the lucky ones not to experience any issues with the past update. I'm wondering if I should apply the latest update fix and break what's already working. With cert issues, it could be something as simple as the certificate was cached somewhere in the path between you and the server.. maybe by your ISP, your own computer, your ISPs upstream provider.. lots of layers. What is certain is that you would have run into this issue within a few days at most, as the cache expired. But now it's apparently fixed so should be all good. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
