Thinking back to 2020, I am sure there were quite a few Kiribatians here on this forum. Would you be interested in joining me for an Occupy Redmond (Part 3) protest? We will camp outside MS headquarters and stage a fiery but mostly peaceful protest until Bill Gates (or whoever is running MS now) agrees to make Kiribati “First in Flight Sim” once again.

Uninstalling the Tech Alpha apparently broke some people's copies of 2020, that's why they're worried.

No, it's not. GILT is GMT+12, so according to this graphic it will be released at 5PM UK time in Kiribati, which is probably just a mistake as I assume it will be released globally at 1600 zulu.

it gets released everywhere at the same time , all times given are just the locale time zones times at release e.g 3AM Sydney 20th at the exact same time its 4PM in London 19th as Sydney is 11 hrs ahead

sorry but whith msstore there are so much idiotic things, i can not believe that MS bring this to a good thing on day one.
so i have to change the standard xbox-installdrive too. i have done this one time - long ago, all 2020 Sim was broken after.

I will install it mostly because of support for my VA's ACARS system. I want it to be ready ASAP for whoever wants to jump right in, i am in no hurry myself and i believe MSFS2024 will be a pile of problems on day one (AKA unusable for an actual IFR flight which is what i do the most), but we'll see.

I think i might switch to it within a year, but like everyone else, it all depends on how it behaves with already purchased addons and cost of migration. It has been 4 years since MSFS, but i didn't use it for 4 years - Unusable foe me at launch (nothing really good to fly) so i only moved from P3D maybe 1.5 years later.

Hopefully i can make use of MSFS2024 for longer and hopefully they will extend its life a bit more than 4 years to make more room for investment returns.

That's what I found with a quick verification of the time zones involved on Google and comparing them with the table... so what's the point of this thread actually? 🤐
