November 21, 20241 yr It's going to be a while before I'm able to jump in, but I have been watching some folks stream today. I'm blown away by virtual world. Once they get the servers stable and start knocking out bugs, the astounding feeling of existing in this gorgeous, detailed virtual world is worth it every ounce of hype. Chris

November 21, 20241 yr Not worth it right now. Now that people are able to get in, there are a tremendous amount of bug reports coming in. Stuff like camera drift in VC is not good. The night lighting is massively bugged with blown out airport lighting that you can see from FL350. Then there is the NVIDIA control panel not having MS2024 listed yet which means you cannot set any settings for it which is ludicrous. There are others issues like default planes being locked in the cloud thus no freeware liveries can be made as they are not in the community folder. Only way to get more liveries is to pay for them on MP is what I am hearing. This also affect GSX aircraft profiles, aircraft mods, etc… Apparently this streaming aircraft philosophy and not being able to download them to your community folder is blowing up on the dev support forum at MS. You can select the .exe manually (via the folder search) in the NCP and you can setup things as usual. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Professional pilots are all saying how much better ground handling is for all types of aircraft. For us that also like GA/corporate flying, aircraft are handling better in the air too. Don't get me wrong, my comments aren't a criticism to anybody that is sticking with 2020. November 21, 20241 yr I was seriously considering ditching it for a few months today, But i tried again tonight, and wow. I think it was one of the WT GA Aircraft, and from ground handling, to stunning scenary, and no wild swaying as you touched down , unlike in 2020. I also felt like you could feel inertia. So i am certainly going to give it time, if they can correct bugs, and bandwidth issues, this is going to be a winner. And are you located in the US? Edited November 21, 20241 yr by mistolip

If they can fix the bugs and 3rd party devs can get their add ons working in MSFS 2024, we will have a winner. And it won’t even be close with 2nd place (ie. MSFS 2020). i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
