Just downloaded all flightBeam, Fsimstudios and many more. Also, many FS 2024 airport updates on Orbx.

To be fair, Contrail has done nothing to make those sceneries FS2024 compatible, as it is just a publisher and installation tool.

You have to switch the sim like in Contrail on the pulldown menue up right and then it will show you all products available for MSFS2024 you own.

Have they? I don't think so. It's just that all their old 2020 airports can be downloaded into the sim. None have been updated?

yes, just checked. they basically just added a 2024 section of the store in their orbx installer. nothing else, same old stuff

Thats what is confusing. Can you install on top of your 2020 as there is a new version number in contrail or do we need to have it seperate  2024 community folder.? Maybe its just better to install seperate to avoid issues. Isnt it unwise to install as you cannot disable default yet?

Only a small selection of the airports I’ve bought through ORBX were available for download last night when I selected 2024, so I’m guessing there must be some kind of vetting process / verification of basic functionality in 2024 before they are made available for download.

Just like Contrail and probably every other legitimate online retailer that uses an installer, everyone will be doing the same.

For those who (perhaps prematurely) removed MSFS before installing MSFS 2024, this will be a very good thing.
For those who didn't, as stated, most airports appear to work just as well in both versions, so copying or
linking the MSFS files into the MSFS 2024 Community folder will do the job.
 

And here I thought they added more. I had already noticed this days ago and have already installed all the scenerys that are made compatible at this time. I was waiting for the rest to come, and thought this thread was the indication that they did.

Not the case. So this is old news to me.

Same with ORBX, Aerosoft, ini, and Simmarket.

Only two of my airports I purchased through Contrail are available for download into MSFS 2024 and none of my airports I bought through Orbx.

There are hundreds of MSFS products at these sites and every one has to be checked
for compatibility before it can be either released for MSFS 2024, or sent for updating.
The new simulator has been out now for nine days, two of which were a weekend.
It will all be done in due course.

For me it was the other way round. 7 Airports on Contrail, 2 on Orbx. But they added three more yesterday.

So slowly but steadily they all get checked and then updated.
