November 29, 20241 yr Has anyone heard of progress or what's happening with the Max. I tried looking on the Fligh1, but could only see it for sale. Is there a forum at all? November 29, 20241 yr They haven't said anything since launch other than "we are looking at it." They also said they are pretty much taking this week off for Thanksgiving at least in terms of Discord presence.

November 29, 20241 yr Why not just buy it and fly in MSFS2020? 🙂 they have a free upgrade to MSFS2024 Michael Moe Edited November 29, 20241 yr by Michael Moe Michael Moe
November 29, 20241 yr They are actively working on it, not just "looking" at it. After the release of 1.0 two weeks ago, they've said they'll concentrate 100% on bringing it into MSFS2024. That said the missing dev tools might affect them too (like PMDG). For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
November 29, 20241 yr I tried it in 2024 yesterday and nothing worked for me. It loaded just fine, but it was Cold and Dark and no switches worked. Jacek G. Ryzen 5800X3D | Asus RTX4090 OC | 64gb DDR4 3600 | Asus ROG Strix X570E | HX1000w | Fractal Design Torrent RGB | AOC AGON 49' Curved QHD |

December 13, 20241 yr I know this thread is a couple weeks old, but last week they posted this: Quote To all of the iFly community: iFly previously announced that we are working on creating an MSFS 2024 compatible version of the iFly 737 MAX8, now that Version 1.0 has been released. Our plans have not changed. We are well aware that some developers have created experimental ports of their products for MSFS 2024, and that has spurred many questions about why iFly has yet to do something similar or why we have not published a specific timeline for a MSFS 2024 compatibility release. iFly does not have a timeline for a MSFS 2024 compatibility release. We are still evaluating the appropriate path forward for MSFS 2024, and, critically, iFly is still waiting for MS/Asobo to update the software debugging tools. We can say that some work has already commenced in areas unaffected by the inability to use the debugging tools. We understand that you are eager to try the iFly 737 MAX8 in MSFS 2024, and we are eager for you to do so, but it will take time. We assure you, however, that we are continuously developing the MAX8, and that creating a version of the iFly 737 MAX8 for MSFS 2024 is our top priority. We thank you for your patience and understanding. So they're pretty much in a similar boat as other devs like pmdg, etc in that they are waiting for more proper debugging tools from Asobo.

Hopefully some of those tools were in the last 2024 update. I believe there was a specific mention of WASM debug tools being included but I am not knowledgeable enough to know if that is what iFly and others are waiting on. Fingers crossed though! December 13, 20241 yr From what I heard last - they are currently working on getting current version of 737 max to be compatible with MSFS 2024. When that will happen no one knows but I'm probably guessing we should hear something from developers soon. If you are still eager to fly 737 max and still have MSFS 2020 installed then I would definitely recommend it. Ifly have done a great job with and such I have flown many hours on it the sim. As others have mentioned - there will be free upgrade to MSFS 2024 whenever that releases.

It’s the plane I’m looking forward to the most in 2024. Oh well. It’s good to get an update from the dev though. Even though I follow Flight1 discord, I missed that one. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
December 14, 20241 yr a question from a GA pilot: to those who own both max-8s, the new default and the Ifly: what makes the Ifly version worth an extra 70 $ ? and would you purchase it again? The iFly is IMO a very solid 3rd party addon. And that's coming from someone who has several of the PMDG NG series aircraft. I just find it much more enjoyable. In terms of the exterior and interior detail, sounds (absolutely awesome), systems depth, the way she handles in manual flight. Compared to the Fenix: I like the iFly better. Not because the actual addon is better - obviously the Fenix is very polished and complete. I just prefer the actual 737 MAX 8 aircraft to the A32x aircraft. Compared to Asobo's MAX: It's night and day. The iFly is IMO better in every way. BUT - I think it's awesome that Asobo decided to include the MAX as a free aircraft. Fly it, learn it - then get the iFly MAX 😄 Edited December 14, 20241 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
