Did you personally make that person aware of the facts. I’m not getting into a debate with you. You are well aware of the rules in this forum.

I am indeed well aware of the rules, which is why I started this discussion with you. Rules can be interpreted differently, especially when it comes to the subjective topic of what is and isn't disrespectful. For instance, I could take you saying you don't want to get into a debate with me as disrespectful, since I see it as you blowing me off before we've had a chance to talk things through. You on the other hand, probably see absolutely nothing wrong with it. In my opinion, as long as derogatory words are not used, respect or disrespect does not hinge on whether or not the facts are laid out and we don't have to be reminded that people's opinions are valid unless there is an attempt to shut them up.

Does it pause properly, or does it use that daft "active pause"?

In the test I did which was prior to the first patch by simply removing my Cat-6 cable it went to a pause screen and sat there until I plugged the cable back in and hit ESC to resume the flight...  So it properly paused on my side.

In 2020 if you were mid-flight and your connection dropped you got the offline message, online services disabled and you kept flying.

In 24 if you are mid flight and your connection drops the entire sim pauses, your flight stops and you sit there until your connections resumes AND you resume the flight.  It just pauses itself.

I would love to see the ability to continue to fly with 24 if I drop a connection mid-flight so I hope the "Library" enables this but with everything being streamed the only thing the sim can do is stop and wait.    I strongly dislike this personally.

I'd find that really annoying as well. But on the flip side, does this mean 24 actually has a simple, regular good old fashioned pause function though? Not just some the zebras keep grazing beneath you while your plane is suspended in mid-flight active pause type thing?

I assume this is why they will be providing an option to download most of the assets to your local drive?

From the stream, Seb said the best use of the download option is to download a plane or airport you use and go to frequently.

If I need to "proper pause" on either sim I just hit ESC.  That pauses everything.  I've never used the Active Pause.

Ah ok thanks, I'm still on 2020, it seems that works for some, but not others. For me ESC never paused the time unfortunately

That's a good point.  I know when I hit ESC the E/T and chrono in the aircraft stop but I don't know if the "clock stops ticking"

So the E/T would stay at 2 hours into the flight if that's when I hit ESC but if it was 3pm and I left it for 3 hours I'm not sure if the actual time in the sim would still be 3pm or if it would be 6p when I came back.  I think you are correct in that aspect...

What can you say against it if MS managers who recently jumped from a palm tree and are paying you a salary decided so.

One of the jörgs gang said recently they planned to have an option to download everything from the beginning. Who is lying? Asobo is lying to cover big MS boss(es) after the total fiasco.

Optional downloading was on the table before the sim launched. The only reason we haven't been able to do it yet is because the marketplace is not operational yet for unrelated reasons.

If you can run 2020, you can run 2024.

I was being ironic, although it's true that I can't (and don't want to) buy an XX90.

I certainly hope their database for priority bugs is not solely based on there Bugs forum.

It’s not

Let's cross our fingers. It will take them at least a month to make this option. And full of bugs as usual. Then it will turn out that all the standard edition planes are still encrypted. Not allowing third parties to create liveries for them. It will take a couple more months to sort it out.

You’re behind on the modding news, people have been making liveries for some of the default aircraft for over a week now.

And even if the manual downloads were encrypted, that doesn’t stop people from making liveries, or else we wouldn’t have any 787X or other deluxe/premium aircraft liveries in 2020

Seeing as there's still bugs in MSFS2020 from 3 years ago unfixed

"Bugs", as in features that are supposed to work but don't?  Or is it underdeveloped features, for example ATC, or Flight Dynamics?  I'm not aware of any bugs by the former definition but I use MSFS 2020 in a very consistent way so might no notice.  What are some of the bugs still present?

Go hunting for bugs on an official forum because I don't see any myself despite 5000h+ of sim time in 2020.  Let's personalize it then.  I don't experience any 'bugs' by my definition, that would be crashes, things that are supposed to function but don't, etc.  What bugs do you experience in 2020?
