December 7, 20241 yr Not sure what is happening, I opened today my sim and then it asked me to sign to Xbox which I did. To my surprise, it is taking through the setup screen like I am setting the sim for the first time (you even need to accept EULA) and all my settings and profiles, just completely gone 😔. I tried to log out from Xbox login and sign in again, the same issue, it has wiped everything and it is taking to setup screen and to accept EULA again. Has anyone faced this? That is very weird and time consuming 😔 AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p displayÂ

Its performance is a disaster (i kept tweaking, but nothing better). 2020 performed way better (if someone asks me, my Internet speed is 1gb) And for 2020, I am also giving up on it, they keep resetting my settings. I will contact the support, let's see if they can help me out to recover all this. It is so frustrating, I have been always busy with work and family, I have only got 2 hours of peace time when the family was sleeping and surprised with this stupid reset.  AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p displayÂ

December 8, 20241 yr Well, I'm no longer in FS 2020 but when I started FS 2024 this morning I had a similar, although thankfully not widespread revert to default settings under Accessibility. I just noticed that the aircraft I loaded for a small refreshing flight was acting weird(?) and then I started seeing visual cues which I had disabled altogether like POIs and so on... Went checking the accessibility settings and they had been reset to defaults with full aids active 😕 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
December 8, 20241 yr It happened to me a few days ago with MSFS2020. I lost my history and settings once a couple of years ago, but this time it was the whole lot. A complete reset. Even all of the aircraft camera settings are gone. It has happened to lots of people at different levels. I have no words for the incompetence of the people behind the online saving of these settings - how can they be trusted? They just follow their usual pattern like it isn't an issue, and I can't see how it will be any different for 2024. December 8, 20241 yr Happened to me a few times. Sometimes a reboot solved, sometimes logging out and back into msfs solved, sometimes logging out and back in to the xbox app worked. Sometimes I just had to suck it up and set it all up again. Yes exactly what happened to me yesterday, everything wiped out. Thankfully, the camera settings were still untouched, other than that complete reset, even P42 Flow has reset and I had to configure it from scratch. I followed this article to repair the gaming service, https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4407168022418-How-to-get-past-the-Checking-for-Updates-screen didn't help. The problem is, if I try to configure everything now and do a logout and login again, a good chance everything will be wiped out as well (that was the case yesterday evening) AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p displayÂ

Nope. No point. I don't know why people rushed to do that unless they had no space. I have plenty of SSD space and my plan has always been to keep 2020 running until 2024 stabilises enough (I expect about 6 months). I hadn't touched 2020 for about 10 days, then on going in, it was like a fresh install. I pointed it towards my F: drive and if found my community folder on there, but initially it wanted everything back on the C: drive again. Not sure if those of us having it on another drive other than C: drive is part of the problem, but it shouldn't be an issue. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). December 8, 20241 yr Well, my guess about the current chaos is that MS is still figuring out how to setup servers to handle both sims as it seems very likely much of this is directly or indirectly related to server issues, especially with regard to 2024. I can imagine seemingly unrelated problems in 2024 may in fact be secondary to losing sync with the main thread, which 2024 still depends on. I give it 1-3 months to get it to where it was supposed to be at launch. The reinstall was almost instant because I still had all the files where they belonged. My logbook was unchanged, but all sim and controls settings gone. Oddly all my controls settings eventually reappeared after a week or so.
