Yes, I understand that people deserve to know, but Avsim is not a court and without evidence, no accusation is admissible.
And personally, when I see a pack rushing towards prey, I tend to take the side of the prey, especially if it is not there to defend itself.

Without evidence 😂😂😂 Good grief, take those glasses off for a minute

Simcident Report: That Time FSLabs Shipped Actual Malware To Paying Customers - FSNews Enough evidence for you? Maybe Google more.

Sometimes I don’t get this community.

BMWorld did some shady stuff that impacted another developer - let’s run them out of town with pitchforks and burn them at the stake.

FSLabs installing malware on every users’ machine that accesses passwords and personal data for whatever reason - no bother, they didn’t mean it and clearly are misunderstood and really the victims here.

I’m in no way saying they’re not both awful behaviours but the double standards are popcorn worthy. And even more ironically, offences against other developers seem to weigh higher than installing malware on every users’ machine.

You really can’t make this up!

If you didn't pirate their software, you (supposedly) didn't have anything to worry about. I can't F-ing stand thieves so I can somewhat understand the reasoning but there was likely a better way.

I bought their software and they installed malware on my computer. That is by definition a criminal act. The means absolutely don’t justify the ends here and your argument is quite frankly ridiculous and desperate.

I bought it too, pal.  I was just letting you what the alleged reason was since I (perhaps mistakenly) didn't think you knew. Either way, get the hell over it like an adult.

So from what you are saying we all should "just get over it" if someone does something IRL we just get over it. I think not. Three times can they do something a fourth time lets wait and see. Don't get me wrong love FSLabs products but I feel they left this release very late.

Yes, if you're not in a position to directly address something in life then you generally need to get over it. Now in this case, "addressing it" might be not purchasing anything from them again. That's fine. But some in here just keep b*tching about it. Purchase or don't purchase, I don't care but clogging up a thread when some are looking for actual info about the product gets ridiculous. And I agree with you, this is too little too late. I'll wait for the NEO or A330.

Erm, if Avsim were a court then accusations without evidence wouldn’t be admissible.

If you don't like don't bother commenting. Its going to keep happening where ever you look. It's a forum after all.

This is true. And in this case, I'll need to get over it...

Get back discussing the Airbus rather than events that happened many years ago or the topic will be locked.

Yeah, for those of us that don’t generally Airbus this has all become a bit of a bore now.

I’d like to hear what it’s actually like please.

@Irisha thanks for an actual review!🫡

As someone who flies the A320 family IRL, worked with Fenix, and also was privileged enough to be given a pre-release copy of FSL to stream, i can give a somewhat balanced view/opinion.

Firstly, no Airbus (or indeed aircraft) simulation is ever going to be able to capture every aspect of what it's like to fly a real aircraft. There's a reason why new pilots are required to undergo base training despite having spent hours in a Level D sim honing their skills, because even the multi-million pound, full motion ones aren't exactly perfect!

FSLabs have brought some really quite cool stuff to the table, the MEL in particular is really good and encapsulates what it's like to be a pilot, I just flew 3 sectors today carrying 4 defects including an inop APU, knowing the same thing might happen on the FSL and you don't know what it's going to be until you load in/check the tech log adds a lot of immersion for me. Similarly, i don't know if anyone has tail struck it yet, but there's some really cool additional features that just add to the general immersion of what it's like to be a pilot.

With regards to the flight model/how it feels - Fenix have recently updated their FM (or at least when I flew it in MSFS2024) the A319 in particular feels really accurate, having been really busy with other projects, I first jumped into the Fenix after a while away and i was very impressed with how it handled.

With regards to FSL's chequered history, I think it's important to discover for yourself what happened, and decide for yourself if that crosses your personal red lines. I was very impressed with EasyJetSimPilot's objective video explaining it all in a nutshell without being emotive.

So yeh, objectively speaking, I think they both have a lot to offer and I have enjoyed flying both - it's easy to get lost in the noise, but these aircraft are both insanely high fidelity and they are bringing near professional level simulations to your desktop PCs for under $100.

I'm really impressed, and really hope the competition leads to more innovation from both parties, the community has a lot to gain!

You're presenting a half-cocked FSL A321 "lite" as being better than a fully-fledged Fenix A321

Yes I am if systems depth and implementation details is the criteria for “better”.  Perhaps “lite” was not the best choice of word.

Nothing contradictory in my statement.

P3D FSL A321-SL has additional implementations not present in the MSFS FSL A321-SL.

MSFS FSL A321-SL has additional implementations not present in the Fenix A321-SL.

MSFS FSL A321-SL implements more features than any other MSFS aircraft for 2020 (Fenix, PMDG, etc.).

I’ll create a detailed list later in the week comparing the versions for “features”.  I’m not trying to define “better”, that’s entirely up to the user as in most cases the features in one product aren’t important to a specific user … in fact, almost always the case when listed out in detail.

BUT, for a quick reference where they diverge is with implementations of:

Normal Law - Ground Mode

Normal Law - Flight Mode

Alternate Law 1 - Loading

Alternate Law 2 - Flame Out (shut down both engines)

Direct Law - elevator deflection limits based on current CG

Mechanical

FSL implements these modes/laws more accurately in the P3D version, but doesn’t seem to translate well to MSFS version (or I’m missing something), and Fenix seems way off.
