So that's your argument now? By the way, I did not buy the FSLabs, but I can't stand the fanboyism about a virtual product like the Fenix and the spreading of false information, such as service-based failures and so on.

Thank you chatgpt.  Service-based failures: If the user has neglected certain systems (like engine oil, hydraulics, etc.), a failure could occur. This could mimic real-world scenarios where aircraft are taken out of service if certain components are not serviced in time.

  • As someone who flies the A320 family IRL, worked with Fenix, and also was privileged enough to be given a pre-release copy of FSL to stream, i can give a somewhat balanced view/opinion. Firstly,

  • Greetings, Having read though this thread i am happy to add some factual information on the A320 family and some of its more unique features benefits issues and differences from conventional airc

Do you understand the difference between what ChatGPT said, what the PMDG has, and what the Fenix has? I mean, what the hell? You are literally explaining why the Fenix failures are not service-based.

Personally I don't think you do explained to you by others.

Is this confirmed? And it’ll be locked every update?

I wasn’t going to buy this for 2020 anyway since I’m mostly 100% in 2024, but if this is true and it continues into 2024, this is a big dealbreaker for me.

2024 is designed to be frequently and easily updated.

This is how it worked in P3D as well.

On one hand, you could argue that this gives them the ability to say "it works with this version". On the other hand, it's just a hold-over from P3D and is a bit much.

They also insisted on controlling one of you configuration files (in P3D) and that was highly annoying.

Wonder if it will catch on with other devs or be seen by flight simmers as a bit of a gimmick / a source of frustration when items are regularly unavailable?

I think it's an interesting feature.

It's a lot of fun, if you are bit longer in this hobby it's not that difficult anymore to go from A to B.

But we have choices and that's always a good thing the future is bright...

People have different expectations or want to simulated at a different level and immersion level and nothing wrong there...

Does MS update Defender with every FSL release? 😄

LOL as soon as I read about what they did that literally put them below Captain Scam for me and I will never buy anything from FSL because I can't trust they won't do it again. I don't care why they did it in the first place, they did it and I'm not paying for the possibility of owning a virus.

His question was if it was confirmed. You're response doesn't clarify that. So is it confirmed or not? I have yet to see anything stating so just more of the same, "this is how it was in P3D yada yada" with no concrete answers.

Well, 8 pages in and I’ve learned nothing about the plane. I genuinely don’t care if you like Fenix more..or if FSL has a bit of a shady past. I don’t care about what “service based failures” means. What I care about is how the plane performs, feature execution, and things different that what we’ve seen in other products thus far.

Personally, from advertisements, I’ll probably pick this up, because it’s the first plane in the sim (that I’ve seen) to do things I should care about as a pilot. The deice/anti ice thing sold me.

Yes, I did not learn much about the aircraft, except that apparently it uses the legacy mode in 2020, which strikes me as a little sketchy. But, to your point, I get the sense not many people here are actually interested in the plane.

Does it actually, or did one person just say that with no proof, because I don’t see anything from FSL saying that.

Yea, that is why I used the word "apparently" because I am not sure, but if you ask me what stuck out from 8 pages of discussion it was that...

Exactly. Seems like this whole thread has been that way. One person says something and then everyone runs with it as fact. Just wow.

I was actually angry with them. I discovered the FSL 321 back when I was using P3D and really wanted to buy it. I held off to do more research once  I saw the price. That's when I found out what they had done. I went several years with no Airbus to fly because nobody else made one, and I wouldn't buy from them. So it was their fault that I had no Airbus. I'll never...

I was really dissapointed with the AVSIM mods for removing that thread with a video from Easyjetsimpilot about the incident. People should know, this shouldn't just be an "oh well lets move on" situation when it gets covered by international tech news. How these guys managed to survive as a business afterwards is baffling.

8 pages in and only one post with anything remotely resembling a summary on the actual product. I’ll probably pick it up to see how it fares and report back.
