It's a Captain Sim product, so cracking a joke is warranted.

  • My favorite Space Shuttle Simulation (stand-alone sim) was Space Shuttle Mission 2007 - it looks like the creator and support group is still active : https://www.space-shuttle-mission.com/.  I had a t

  • Nice model, little over done on the side tiles? on the fuselage.

It'll take you into space, but you'll need to wait for the later release of the re-entry module.

The page says ONLY the re-entry stage is modeled, no ascent or orbital stages. Or were you cracking a joke? 🤔

Cracking a joke about Captain Sim products is a waste of time and should be ignored. If people support them so be it. No one (being serious) takes them serious at all. Its their money to spend on their products.

Not my cup of tea but the modelling and lighting work is.. really well done particularly in the cockpit. This is a splendid model.

Captain Sim used to release some good products, but they went downhill fast.  If they are trying to release a good product then good luck to them and those who buy the products.  However, jokes aimed at Captain Sim are more than warranted at the current time.

This is what is tragic about Captain Sims recent history. They are capable of good work, but they match good stuff on an addon with absolutely poor stuff.

CS's history is never finishing a product on first release. Rule of thumb is you'll get an external model with default avionics in which the whole release is questionable if it will ever get released and if it does it goes like this:

Base model: $50

Year later Avionics added: $80

Freighter version: $50

Compatibility Upgrade (new version of FS): $80

Full Version (a year and a half after the original bas model was released): $120

🤔

It's best to wait a year after initial release to see if the product goes anywhere.  In all fairness this is a Russian based company and no telling what challenges/hurdles they are going through to keep their company afloat...😔

Not really no; they’re like a blanket all around the orbiter, and very distinct.  I saw Discovery up close a few weeks ago and they’re very apparent.

Seeing this instantly brought back memories of making a blanket-fort cockpit to play the Atari 2600 Space Shuttle game back in the day!  Curious to see how development progresses on this

Just bought it because of this thread.  CS?  Space Shuttle?  Who Knew??? 😎. Thank you OP.  Will install later today (it “looks great”) and report back.
