Something I just noticed, on a rainy day in KORD, the iFly 737 Max wipers actually sweep the rain off the windscreen.

Hi Bob , you are still here giving the 1.02 a chance 🙂

Nice to see

I love it but am a little worried that my new WinWing FMC is not supported.

There’s nothing wrong with the ifly7, I’ve been flying it for 2 months without any issues… very very stable aircraft, I don’t understand why your having problems… funny how one plane works for one per

  • Nothing wrong with the plane, you just need to learn how to use it.

  • Ok. You should stick to PMDG then. No big deal if you can’t learn something new, lots of people have trouble with that.

It's all I have been flying now. I think the PMDG 737 is going to start gathering dust.

Well done Bob for giving it a chance… awesome! 👍

Everything has its place. PMDG's 737 are normal NG's not Max's. That alone is reason enough to keep flying them.

I'm getting the itch to get back into the Max, easy to replace the 738 with the 38M in APLv2!

Indeed , i love ALL of them 🙂 my next half year of flying is a bland of 737-900 - MAX and the 777-300ER.

I hope Winwing eventually will support all 737´s

If you fly in APLV2, after you land while still on the runway, APL thinks the taxi light is the landing light, so, turn off the taxi light otherwise you will lose 1 point. All 100's after I found out about that.

I've read somewhere that they'll be supporting the ifly MAX at the end of February.

Good tip, so FSFO does turns off the Landing Lights, that's fine, is there an option to have the FO turn off the Taxi Lights as well? I usually get clipped for forgetting to turn off the Taxi lights before shutdown and do it myself before I get to the Gate.

It really is pretty good isn't it. Once one gets used to the preflight it really doesn't take that long to load it out and do weight and balance. Eventually you'll bump into an autopilot quirk and have to take temporary control, try and get it to an FMS waypoint it likes and then turn the AP back on, but other than that it's been pretty solid for me.

I'm curious how you like taxi and takeoff roll steering behavior - to me it seems so much better than PMDG 73's and 77. I just can't go back to the PMDG until they make major improvements in ground steering and turn behavior in flight.

They do, and not only is it a visual effect, it actually improves visibility.  I was taking the iFly into JNU in dusk rainy conditions one night, right near minimums of 1/2sm vis for our RNP through the cut, and approaching minimums and not seeing approach lights yet I realized my wipers were off.  So I did what I'd do in reality and called "wipers high" to my MCE first officer, and with the first swipe of the wipers, bam, there was the entire approach lights system.  I was impressed!
