January 29, 20251 yr I am on a 2080TI and event viewer would normally show out of memory after a crash. I had no issues with crashes at all on FS2020 for 4 years until I updated my drivers. After updating My simulator would constantly crash after about 2-3 flights, have long freezes and pauses during cruise even and cause my airplane to lose or gain about 2-3 thousand feet of altitude after a freeze. Initially it made me think it was an issue with the Fenix which is what I primary fly. I have reverted back to a driver version of 555.99 build from summer of 2024! and now my sim is once again very stable. Is anyone else experiencing an unstable sim recently? Maybe roll back your driver update.

January 30, 20251 yr I'm the opposite, I always update the driver if there's a new one available. I will avoid Beta ones, but generally will always update if there's a newer RC one available. But I'm the same with all software, I get people's logic for "if it ain't broke don't fix it" and staying on versions that work for them. But I work in IT and a growing part of my job is patching software and hardware to address vulnerabilities from a security aspect, so it's just habit to keep all my personal hardware and software up to date as well. January 30, 20251 yr Yes there are issues. I just updated driver 572.16 for my 3060TI and now 2020 won't ever finish loading. It implodes around 75% of the way through loading.
February 1, 20251 yr Yes I’m seeing same thing with 572.16 driver on Win11. I wanted to try DLSS4 but this driver is crashing FS2020 with a memory error just as the menu appears. I don’t have FS2024 so haven’t tested there. I’ve rolled back to 566.36 drivers and no issues with any crashing, as FS2020 has always been.
February 1, 20251 yr Driver is sub par even though I luv trying new updated software - go back to the last version its really good for visuals - I id notice better fps but that doesnt matter to me I sync everything to 60 fps and a smooth experience Rich Sennett
February 1, 20251 yr I'm on FS 2024 only. Followed one of the three methods I've seen so far to upgrade to DLSS4, tried it in a few flights, and decided I am going to stay with it for now because I'm doing 60 FPS and there aren't any weird effects with this update, at least that I could tell... My GPU is also a RTX 3060Ti. February 2, 20251 yr I got DLSS4 working on MS2020 earlier today (confirmed with the reg hack) and using DLSS-DLAA was okay but still ghosting on the Fenix. Mind you I’m on a 4k 77” OLED LG C3 with a 4090 so things are darn near 1:1 ratio so I notice everything. I find TAA much crisper and easier on performance with frame gen on in DX12. So I reverted to previous driver and back to TAA. Eric
