Been looking forward to this one.

Thanks @btacon

It's not my cup of tea but I hope it turns out to be as great as everyone is hoping it will be.

Too bad there is info for 2024. It's pretty cool aircraft. My FBO use to operate several of them

Disclaimer I'm a tester for this aircraft.

I thought the same even while testing - meh it's a weird looking plane not sure I'll fly it much aside from testing which I told FFX I'd do.

But FFX really upgraded it from the first iteration.  The sounds are done by Boris.  Nuff said there.  The flight model is very good and the little oddities are modeled like the relatively poor brakes, dropping onto the runway if you're not landing correctly etc.  There aren't many Pro Line 21 aircraft so this fills a nice void.  It's very fast for a turboprop too.  Additionally the visuals are top notch.  From the very first version I tested long ago to the release - is night and day.  It's a really well done addon for a very reasonable price.

Ryan, does the Canard stall before the mainplane if you hold off for long enough?

I tend to agree but I'm definitely not overwhelmed. It's solid but not en par with for example a FSR500 or the Dukes and it will have def a hard standing against the Starship from what we got up to now. Small things that drive me a bit off atm: Cockpit graphics don't catch me. The EFB is lets say very mildly kind of very basic and more a disturbance than of big help. Things like chocks showing on parking brake should not happen in the league flightfx wants to play in, those things have to go into the EFB. A missing manual on the other hand quite a big negative point. It doesn't help that its in the works atm, thats too late. Manuals have to be ready before release and in best case released before product to get potential customers convinced. Checklists in sim avail but not very informative on numbers and details. Def have seen better ones. And quite some buttons inop in the cockpit like all basic ground tests.

Did only a short flight up to now but behaving nice and feels believable and sounds good. It fills def a niche with its performance numbers. I hope it gets some more love as it deserves a higher level of fidelity for sure.

Cheers T.

Update: I stand corrected on the manual... its avail now linked in their discord. And the Chocks are only triggered if you have them marked to use in EFB. Still not nice that they trigger with parking brake as they should have an impact on movement when in place.

That's too bad...

It's technically not a canard, since the tailplane still handles pitch control as usual. The front wing helps reduce the pitch moment that the tail would normally have to manage, allowing the main wing to be placed behind the cabin.

It's also a LOT cheaper than the dukes (and even the M500).  But it doesn't hurt to make the request for more features on their discord:  (I'd try P180 General) https://discord.gg/bsvkphhm

I from what I have seen in transmissions basically it is a plane a little above the Carenado level taking advantage of the WT avionics. It's a shame I'm still waiting for a high fidelity business jet in MFS at the level of the Cl650 or the new Torquesim 525.

I didnt say it was a canard, but it HAS a canard surface or a foreplane if you like and that surface  has a bearing on longitudinal trim and stability.

My question remains

It's well above Carenado but not A2A.  It also doesn't cost as much as an A2A.  Also A2A only has a piston - I'd love to see them make something more exciting (maybe the Aerostar!)  The P180 has far better sounds and flight model than carenado.  The Challenger is on another level lol... but seriously their price is waaaay up there.  They know most people aren't going to buy it so they priced it for the people who will.  FlightFX isn't targeting the absolute highest level audience.  Plus there's no way you'd find a product at the Challenger level in XP for 25 USD 😉

ceBiggest problem for me as always with FlightFX is the insistence on being Marketplace only.
I understand that the experience there is positive for them as devs but it's still extremely poor as a user 😞

As for the plane itself, it's good though it feels a little like it's been built to hit it's price point (or maybe a delivery window) - for a simple example compare the P-180 EFB with the one from FlightFX's previous plane the M500. In that comparison the P-180s comes off as incredibly bare bones almost lacklustre.

So while a more affordable price is not necessarily a bad thing for the general public with a plane this interesting I was hoping for a bit more myself, even if that meant a price closer to the M500's.
