February 10, 20251 yr It is only "on ice" for MSFS 2024. It is about to enter beta testing for MSFS 2020. Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
February 10, 20251 yr From what I recall from their latest post - 777-200ER is now going be on both platforms (Initially for MSFS 2020 then it will be a free update for 2024 version), It is entering beta soon I think - they were waiting for Asobo to fix something for 2024 (SDK related) which halted their development for some time. But apparently that has been fixed according to PMDG so we should hear something soon from them. Edited February 10, 20251 yr by CAP1234
February 10, 20251 yr PMDG : "Captains! Due to the upcoming new sims vastly superior (insert word salad here) we shall be focusing all our future plane development including the 777F and 777-200 for FS2024 only. There will be no more new releases for 2020." ....... FS2024 is released.... PMDG : cough cough clears throat "Captains! Due to us not receiving an SDK for 2024 until release like the rest of you peons we can now see we'll have to change our plans as the new sim is a (insert euphemistic yet polite criticism here). We WILL be releasing future planes for 2020 FIRST until we figure out how to make realistic addon planes to our traditionally high standards in 2024. " Russell Gough SE London
February 10, 20251 yr Fortunately for me, I am not really interested in any new planes apart from the PMDG 777F (and that one is already available in MSFS 2020), so I do not need to worry about whether new aircraft developments are "MSFS 2024 only". I just hope that airport addon developers continue to release their products for both versions...... I couldn't justify the spend just to have more glass screens. Edit: apologies for the temp hijack of 777 thread for an iFly question. The plane itself also is not very heavy on system/performance but it does require external ifly plugin to run. I enjoy flying Max every now and then and I alternate flying both 737ng and max. Sounds are also spot on in the MAX. If you are 737 fan - you will enjoy flying the MAX. In terms of actual differences between the NG and MAX - very few, some changes to switches on overhead panel, new engines and as you said big screens at the front. If you fly 737ng quite often then you won't notice a significant difference between the two. iFly will be releasing a free update at some point which will add compatibility to MSFS 2024 as well as new max 8 200 model. All I can say is after flying PMDG 737s for many years, a couple of flights in the iFly, and I will most likely uninstall the PMDG 737.
February 10, 20251 yr I love the Ifly version. The only time I will use the PMDG 737 is if I fly fright and then I usually opt for the 777 Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

February 10, 20251 yr I just wish iFly had a robust SDK with defined LVAR outputs so I could plug it in to my HW or even see them in FSUIPC like PMDG... 😞 Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
