Why not ask Majestic directly via email and ask them questions? They're supportive developers. 

Me. I'm really looking forward to it someday. Probably the best turboprop/airliner addon ever. Had it years ago until I lost the email, couldn't find it etc so when I went to xp I enjoyed the flyjsim dash for a long while. Loved that as well despite its quirks. Oh those days.

And no, it’s not on the community to “offer development work” to keep a product alive. It’s on the developer to communicate whether a project is progressing or stalled.

You can call it “not dead” if you want, but with zero meaningful updates in half a decade, that’s a pretty optimistic interpretation. At some point, it’s fair for people to question the status of the project.

Excuse? My guy, they don't owe you anything, and this kind of entitled attitude is exactly why developers are hesitant to say ANYTHING about ANY project they are working on.

If they want to get paid they do my guy. Marketing is marketing part time or full time.

You are the very reason why developers are choosing to not give updates till they expect to release the product or an update.

I actually never even used FSLabs, lol  so no, this isn’t some recycled talking point. Five years with no progress, no meaningful milestones, and the same recycled “we’re working on it” messages isn’t an update. A couple of vague screenshots and explanations about “struggles with MSFS” don’t prove anything except that nothing is close to release.

And blaming the community for a developer going radio silent is just ridiculous. If a project is healthy, communication isn’t a threat  it’s part of the process. Calling people out for pointing out the obvious doesn’t change the fact that after half a decade, there’s still nothing to show. If that’s not the definition of a dead project, it’s getting pretty close.

Take for example Bluebird with their 757. In development for half a decade now but like 20 dev updates since.
Sounds here, in-sim screenshots there, showcasing on a flightsim con, giving insights in programming details, etc.
That's what you call "actively in development".
Everybody knows it's gonna take another at least half a year to release and almost everyone's fine with it.

Where do some guys draw the line of "being in development or not anymore"?
10 years of "we're looking"? 15 years of "we're checking"?
Reminds me of Ferrari in F1: they say the do something but actually have close to 0 progress.

No hate, think there's more common feelings than disagreement, I just know it's being worked on, that's all - but no issues if anyone wants to take a different view!

You haven't paid them yet, as such there's nothing owed. Clearly we aren't the main driver of Majestic's business, and the more entitled and annoying the consumers are, the less willing they'll be to throw us a bone when their main customers provide more money with less headache.

You got it so wrong . If they  don’t give respect to customers (especially those loyal base of them) then you don’t care about them. It certainly doesn’t take much to have once in a while update . 

I paid for Majestic product in the past . Their lack of communication is just major turn off. So I’m not waiting for their long overdue Dash anymore. I rather invest my money to developer like Fenix.

I'm just disappointed we are 5 plus years since 2020 release and we still don't have the majestic.  Especially when they said (Their words) that it would be a port, not a native build.  I don't run their business.  So they owe me nothing.  But I'm pretty surprised we are almost in 2026 and still don't have it.

But the whole point I'm making is that we aren't the 'loyal base'. They have always been primarily focused on making training products for corporate customers. Anything we simmers got was a side gig for them. And the more annoying and entitled people are about hounding them, the less interested they'll be in continuing that side gig.

Yeah but the actual q400 is shrinking in the real world. Eventually the sim market will be what’s left for them. But I’d just like to hear a state of the union of when we can expect the plane and what progress they have made. Do they owe us that?  No they don’t. But communications in this era seem to make good business sense.

It would make more sense for them to switch to simmer base because Q400 is thing of the past.

I can't imagine selling a software to customers and at the same time consider them entitled. Something is very wrong with that attitude. What goes around comes around. 

They may as well try to sell it ASAP even if looks like it came from FSX because the Q400 will never sell like a PMDG, Fenix on this platform. Right now if anyone is serious about a Q4 should check out the FJS Q4 in the other sim.

At this stand point it seems like Majestic is turning into another Quality Wings type developer in the flight sim community, vanishing and when you don't get any progress report form them it does not look good. That is just my opinion.
