Still a lot of bugs despite the latest update. I still have a difference between the fuel indicated in the EFB and the fuel in the tanks. Not much, but a difference anyway. More annoying: if you mess with the flightplan in the FMS, the avionic can freeze. The aircraft is still flying but the avionic is frozen. By tickling an option in msfs general options, you can unfreeze the avionic but your flightplan is gone so you have to enter it again mid flight. Annoying Anyway, despite the bugs, I like it very much. The aircraft is fun to fly and a nice change of pace compared to Boeing or Airbus. Too bad, the aircraft could be so much better without those bugs. I never had the Majestic but it appears the Majestic Dash 400 was way better than what the ATR is. So don't expect the same quality Edited February 26, 20251 yr by sdirand
February 26, 20251 yr The Q400 and ATR aren't on the same planet. The Q400 was one of the most advanced simulations back in P3D days. The ATR is a bit of fun but nowhere near the systems depth. It's also quite bugged. I actually hopped into it last night to do some Loganair flying in the Scottish Highlands. It works in MSFS 2024 but some of the bugs involve mismatching weights, FMC issues/freezes/wipes, Baro getting stuck (only way to set it is via "B" shortcut)... Those bugs were the same in MSFS 2020 when I last used it a few months ago. It's not bad but it is nowhere near the level of Fenix, PMDG etc.
February 26, 20251 yr Many people bought the ATR and stopped using it because they said it needs work. Blackbird gave up on their ATR way too early.

May 27, 20251 yr Commercial Member Glad to see this bird making its way over to the sim. According to the comments it’s closer than we think.

May 28, 20251 yr Well they did say the 3D model was the bit holding them back didn’t they? If they’ve been able to get that worked on, maybe it is closer than we think. One can hope, this is my most wanted aircraft for MSFS. Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU
May 28, 20251 yr Although, the 3d model is still in development but polygons edges not look impressive. Look closer to the propeller edges, etc. It's not the same quality you would expect in msfs. They need to learn from Fenix or ini when it comes to 3d modeling. Even pmdg can't beat them in 3d visuals and textures.
May 28, 20251 yr I would take a majestic systems level q400 even if only at p3d visual model quality. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

Are you aware their is a PBR update for the Q400 with other visual enhancements for both P3D V5 and V6? There is NO indication of a soon to be released Q400. I get the hope, it would certainly be on my buy list for MSFS 2024.
May 28, 20251 yr I owned this airplane and paid for it twice, but if I have to choose who I want to develop a Q400, I'd like to know we aren't going to end up with the janky integration of an externally emulated flight model light MJC had in P3D and FSX. It was "more realistic" but sometimes the airplane would just... go somewhere else. Or there would be a disconnect between the model and simulator so anything you did was amplified by 3x and delayed by 30 seconds. I found it to be a terrible airplane to fly, honestly. The systems and stuff were great, the W&B was intolerably annoying, and the app kinda sucked. This is one I'm okay with letting go, provided we get a good Q400 eventually, unless there are some serious QoL improvements. It was a good airplane, unfortunately the DRM and my last P3D Windows install wouldn't get along and I was unable to use the plane for 2 years, but it was a "2 legs and I won't fly that for 6 months" experience for me usually.
