looking forward to some serious sightseeing.

Don't forget the Kodiak. It's an oldie but definitely gold and still being updated.

Being high wing its also perfect for sightseeing.

Both great addons.  Obviously A2A has simulated the Comanche more in depth and has an excellent flight model.  Totally different planes/purposes though.  I'd actually say the 414's sounds are nicer, that's my one knock to the PA24.  Visually though both are superb inside and out.  The 414's flight model flies by numbers but doesn't have that superb feel like the PA24.  The 414 is quite a bit faster than the PA24.  We're talking 240 ktas vs 160 ktas or so (at altitude).

I'd also consider the Black Square Dukes and or TBM 850 if you haven't purchased either of those.  They're very in depth systems wise.  The flight model (just the way it flies) isn't quite up to par of the A2A but since A2A has no twin or a turbine it's not an apples to apples comparison.

Additional consideration - the FSReborn M500!  G1000 but another superb flight model, sounds and visuals.  My top 3 GA addons are the PA24, TBM850, and M500 in no particular order.  Each have their strengths and some weaknesses.

Thanks again, I already own both Dukes and the TBM 850. Maybe I'll take a look at the M500 also.

Are you using 2024 with GTN 750Xi

With the new updates, the Comanche works great, but I am still getting dark screens during the day on the 414

Not sure if its just me or the plane

Works for me.  Make sure you update the C414 and the TDS.  You of course need the Pro upgrade of TDS for 2024 support.

The PA24 was the Meridian by Piper? I owned the released by Flight 1 for FS2004, I was looking for one for FS2024/2020. Looks like the FSR500 will fill that void. Thanks for the heads up.

PA24 is the Comanche.  The Meridian was the P46T (now rebranded as the M500/600).  The "FSR500" imo, has the best flight model even vs x plane, dcs, fsx etc.  It's kinda automated so it doesn't always appeal to me as much as the Black Square Turbine Duke or TBM 850.  But Raul from FSReborn has made an excellent turboprop simulation along with a superb flight model.  It's one of the planes I enjoy taking out in a stiff crosswind.

The TBM and Comanche was working with GTN 750Xi

So I completely deleted the 414 and started from scratch. Perfect now.

414 is my favorite aircraft.

The Comanche ruined all other GA Pistons for me. I won't fly another in MSFS.

If I want to go faster, it's a coin toss between the turboprop FSR500 and BBS T-6A Texan II.

After that, I move to one of the jets.

I want to thank everyone for their insights and comments. Looks like I most likely get both the A2A first then the Comanche. looking forward to some serious sightseeing.

Am I the only one who read this and went 🤔😎

No, you're not the only one. Obvious typo, but we know what he meant - he's getting both. 😁

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

And he should get both. As legendary as we all know the Comanche is, I personally fly the 414 much more. I hardly fly the Comanche at all to be honest. It's an acknowledged must for everybody's hangar, but I never really feel drawn to it when deciding what to fly.

The A2A Comanche has a "je ne sais quoi" that makes it the best GA aircraft model I've ever flown. I even love using the cranky autopilot.

I divide my time between A2A, the Torquesim Sim SR22 and Jrollon Marchetti from Xp12, but the Comanche has something that makes it the number one.
