Asobo has been reducing the LOD range for years.

The one thing about 2024 I could scream at in the visibility of aircraft.  I can see them on my traffic display, but do not see them visually until they are almost passing the aircraft.  If I use PSXT/AIG to plane spot an airfield, even large airliners disappear shortly after taking off. One aircraft is visible on the ILs at a large airport like Heathrow.

If I plane spot in XP12, traffic remains visible for miles and miles, making that part of the environment much more realistic. At Heathrow I can see maybe five visible aircraft on the ILs plus those on base either side.

It is one poor aspect of MSFS flightsim that needs fixing.

  • I'd rather watch a real pilot with thousands hrs of Airbus experience showcase a new plane even if it was streaming from a potato at 460p , than self taught simmers.

  • Here's a suggestion: why not just enjoy the video and the features of this exciting aircraft? Now, there's a great idea.

  • I’ve been a combined flight simmer and real world pilot for over 30 years, perhaps I should start a YouTube channel and never have to buy anything or sit waiting for it to be released again🤔

Is that also true of aircraft on the ground? I mean, MSFS 2020 has that "disappearing undercarriage" problem (which is itself utterly ridiculous), but entire aircraft disappearing when they taxi beyond a certain range is definitely not something that I could tolerate.

I don't see any problem on the ground, even at the largest airports.

ini are trusting the hyping of their aircraft to people using xbox controllers on laptops??

He normally doesn't use those things, if he's actually using them. He has a dedicated sim setup.

Also wouldn't it be a good thing for people with a variety of systems to be able to show it off?

If it could run on a laptop well, then that means it's pretty optimized.

This youtuber is a known fake driver. He makes about 10 videos a week from his bungalow in Germany. He has no experience flying real planes. He was formerly a self proclaimed "737NG Driver". But then he switched to A330 long haul 🤣

It could run but 2024 couldn't even draw the runway right under the plane in focus...  I'm sure that's usable for some but not for myself personally, I need at least 10 feet in front of me in focus LOL.  I am talking about 320SimPilot's video

That could be why they also have the cabin "less" version in 2024 as well as 2020, it could be pretty resource intensive so they gave people the option of removing the cabin in 2024 as well.

I'm not a big fan of any regular pilot youtuber and I don't usually follow them but that nonsense about is the first time I read it, so I don't know where you get such silly information from.

If for anything he is known for being one of the PMDG test pilots, for having a pc with problems running XP12 and for being one of the few who dared to criticize Fenix in its early versions.

Had a few sips too many in the late evening, eh?

A330 Driver is a real world pilot but spends more time making video content than actual flying that's for sure.🙄

You sure do have no first clue how long haul pilot contracts work...
