iniBuilds A350 has been released!

Featured Replies

iniBuilds have been posting updates pretty frequently, and the list of changes is extensive. I like their commitment to getting this bird sorted out.

I mean, I respect your opinion but what exactly did you expect? You get the A350-1000, -900 and later -900ULR for MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. That's a pretty good price for a high end aircraft add on and

Agreed. It seems they are committed to this project. In general, I really like the A350.

So in your image, somehow you must have pressed APPR, otherwise the FSL-modes would not be armed. However for this type of  RNAV approach, FSL is not suitable, as evidenced by the F-LOC being deflected full left and probably never close to being intercepted.

Thanks for your input. The RNAV 19 approach to KDCA is obviously unrealistic for the A350. But for the sake of learning - should I have pressed the approach button at all for this approach? Or just let it fly it in NAV and managed descent down to the DA?

This questions is not particularly directed at @SAS443 🙂

Yes indeed. I find it good they update that frequently and make so many fixes in short time....and....the other side....it makes clear HOW many issue they have released and are not found at testing within inibuilds.

I hope they reflect and adapt and change their process to make the next plane more stable on release.

Clearly not enough, or incompetent, beta testers.

I mean... I wouldn't say incompetent... I think the project is moving forward. It's a little heavy on performance vs the Fenix. But it's a complex long-haul airliner that mostly works very well. I'm happy to test it further.

I'm getting "true north ref" on the ECAM - haven't seen that one before.

As with any piece of software, thousands of people using the product will always find bugs dozens of testers didn't.

Hundreds of different sim and hardware setups contribute to that.

The approach button is pressed in all RNAV approaches in the airbus. It says so in the doc i linked earlier.

You'll love it.  I've been through the updates from initial release and now really enjoying the A350.

when you cross a certain latitude (not sure what it is in airbus), the plane will switch to "True." Since you're getting too close to the pole, magnetic doesn't work well anymore. And if you look up at your FCU (I think that's what it's called...the MCP lol) you'll see that it says TrueHDG. There's also a button above it to force it manually.
