You'll love it.  I've been through the updates from initial release and now really enjoying the A350.

    I mean, I respect your opinion but what exactly did you expect? You get the A350-1000, -900 and later -900ULR for MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. That's a pretty good price for a high end aircraft add on and

Well,

I couldn't resist any longer and purchased it last night, installed it, even picked two liveries ( I usually use only the default liveries, but decided to get the IBERIA and LUFTHANSA for the -900 and -1000 ). Chose the reduced textures option during the base install, but I'm not sure it applies also to the additional liveries?

I wanted to get familiarized with the most modern Airbus cockpits, and it had to be an A350 or an A380. Unfortunately I couldn't use the FBW A380 because it was freezing FS 2024 😞

Well, didn't have the time to properly explore the various aspects of the modelling in this INIBUILDS A350, but :

.) It runs smoothly and looks beautiful graphics wise in my med/low rig (3060Ti (8GB VRAM) and 5600x, 32 GB RAM );

.) the systems I used worked flawlessly, although it is just a tiny part of what is modeled;

.) in a hurry I taxied to the active (cat & wife were already waiting for me to go to bed 😕) and took it for a short ride, not even a complete circuit, but overall it felt pleasant to me!

.) did some stupid flight inputs and received some stupid reponses from the model, but I believe this aircraft is probably supposed to be used - proceduraly - and inside the normal operations envelope.

I believe that provided users use it as it is supposed to be operated IRL Operations, in terms of flight control and interaction with the various complex systems, it will probably be a very pleasant and rewarding simulation.

I used ELITE IFT for years with the same restrictions - don't try to do what you're not supposed to do when flying IFR...

So... I believe that, at least for the time being, I am glad I took the plunge and purchased my first INIBUILDS payware for MSFS.

This also broke a temporary boycott I had imposed to INIBUILDS since they abandoned X-Plane just after I had purchased 3 addons for Xp11 and then Xp12 😕

Totally agree mate.  I am really enjoying it.

Keep enjoying it and happy flying.

I don't understand how you have it smooth with 3060 and 5600, when I have 4070 S and 7800X3D and 64RAM and it's not smooth at all in 2024. It's smooth in 2020, but there's no smoke when you touch it, I can't do without this effect

Funny and here I was thinking you were supposed to keep your eyes on the threshhold when landing instead of looking at the outside view. 😉

I like to watch replays from different angles. And without smoke it's not the same. I can't evaluate the quality of the landing. In this case I'm a pedant, I need the smoke from the main landing gear to come out synchronously, if it doesn't happen at the same time - immediately ESC and go smoke

If I purchase this in the MS2020 Marketplace will it also be available in MS2024?

It should. But I've never revisited 2024 to check if this is true.

Could be the settings I am using as well as additional apps.

I can later find a way to paste here my present settings, but for instance :

.) with BATC or FSHUD I now use FSLTL AI models with their textures reduced to 512 KB;

.) I don't have Vsync or any limited FPS in either FS 2024 settings of Nvidia, but I set it to 30 FPS using Rivatuner - monitor is FullHD @ 60 Hz;

.) Only "external" programs I keep using at the same time I run FS 2024 are, at most, BATC / FSHUD for ATC and FSLTL for traffic injection when using FSHUD, Navigraph Charts and Lossless - but I don't always use Lossless. Ah! and if I want to enable Head Tracking I also use Beam Eye Tracker with OpentrackIR;

Jcomm flies in 1080p. That helps a lot with a 3060Ti. I know because my rig used to be the same as his.

512 px textures for AI traffic? Looks interesting, Jcomm! I never did that, not even in FS9. I have some questions:

  • Do you use FSLTL or BATC for injecting the traffic in sim?
  • How much traffic do you use? Sometimes I feel I'm just injecting too much.
  • How do the AI aircraft look, when parked next to you?
  • And what texture format do you use? DDS DXT5 with mipmaps?

Flying in 1080p is like watching black and white television.

Of course, going down to 480p, using low-rez textures, no cabin, low graphics settings - you'll get great performance.

Then again, you might as well fire up FSX.

I'd be interested to see some numbers who the 3060ti handles 1440p resolution, high settings. I suspect not very well.

I think it will, but to save any hassle, why not buy it direct from Inibuilds, where both versions are downloadable. Unless your on XBox?
