Avg FPS is pretty much the same (with my hardware) - but VRAM usage is about 0.5GB less with 2K. Having a closer look at the AI models - I think the difference is not huge, visually. 2K models look good enough IMO. To me, the juice isn't worth the squeeze. Eric

March 19, 20251 yr So I used texture optimizer to reduce to 1024 and then applied the layout generator to the layout.json in the "optimized" folder and renamed the folder all per instructions. The FSLTL injector works perfectly fine in 2024; however, I get an error message when trying to inject FSLTL models using BATC saying something like there are no liveries available. Anyone experience this issue and found a fix? Ryan

Contrails are finally fixed. Nope, contrails are not fixed. Not that I expected them to be, since the FSLTL devs already said they need to be fixed by Asobo, not them. March 19, 20251 yr trying the update base models again. just keeps decompressing 293 files and then failing.... SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

March 19, 20251 yr Has anyone resized to 1024 and then attempted to get the FSLTL models loaded in 2024 with BATC? Ryan

Much much easier to use, quick and after that I updated the layout.json as well, tested with BATC and FSLTL, works both. With the DDS Converter you are able to set some standards and fire and forget after. I also reduced ally airports.... I saw some airports using up to 8k textures ....insane...that's why they are performance heavy...and eat VRAM like cookies in MSFS2024. I reduced them to maximum 2048. Looks still great, for VR users a great opportunity to gain some FPS at heavy airports like KLGA or KMIA, LEBL, LEMD, ENBR, ENTC....all used high texture resolution. Regards, Marcus P.
