Let me explain it to you. There is no testing going on except us.

An unstable beta? Oh dear, that's terrible! And - we're not even getting paid for it?! I'll probably just add fuel to the fire here - but, jeez - unstable beta? Aren't betas inherently unstable?

  • I will explain it to you! Back when 2020 was released, initially there were no public betas. Asobo in house testing was missing a  lot of bugs, and most of us would suffered with bugs between official

  • Maybe it's because it's a "Beta"?

I feel like I'm in some weird alternate reality from most other people having CTDs. The only CTDs I have had so far in SU2 are when I try using FSLTL or AIG's models in traffic and looking at the Fenix in aircraft selection, but I know there's a hotfix for that out I just haven't downloaded it yet..

I'm having minor issues, but nothing breaking the sim. Like the GSX window not rendering correctly every time I open it, and it's notification box not going away.

I just finished an A359 flight from KATL to KLAX with no serious issues.

Somehow developers fooled their paying customers into thinking that being a unpaid Beta tester was somehow for the greater good.

I disagree. Beta testers do a great service for the game developer, who should have properly tested their product before releasing it. No one forces anyone to be a smoker, but sometimes people voluntarily choose things that don't benefit them in the "long run" without knowing any better.

Not true. You paid a "fee" to get the product that does not work. So now you have test it for them to get the experience that you originally "paid" for.

Its called "scamming" your customers which has become the acceptable norm, particularly in gaming. So much so, that customers now defend their right to be used and abused by gaming developers.

It's impossible for them to find every issue with their internal testing team.

We have thousands of different hardware and sim setups, how would you expect them to test all of those possible combinations internally?

That's why open beta testing is a good thing.

I have been lucky to have a pretty stable 2024, but its my turn to have my PC reset 15 seconds into every flight with SU2.

If you really believe that then take them to court. Let us know what your lawyer says after the initial meeting. Maybe you can be the Erin Brockovich of gaming.

How do you know they didn't test it? Testing can be very tricky I know it first hand. The whole point of beta is to expose unknown bugs!

Once again beta testers do great service for all of us that include developers! Would you rather have bugs sneak in to SU2 official release and wait for weeks for hot fix. Or SU2 beta  you can always opt out and rolled back?

There are many Porsche and VW Flat-6 motor owners who will tell you the world is absolutely flat!
