you haven't seen my channel discussing seating positions..... here ya go

Apart from the unrealistic low pilot seating position, making flying this aircraft unrealistic.

SHIFT+E and then go fill your glass up, it's half empty.

Is it done yet? When will it be released? Will it be freeware or payware? How much will it cost? Any updates on the progress? Will it work for Xbox? Can I be a beta tester? How's the performance in VR?

What are you using for those cockpit vibrations in the first video, is it FSRealistic?

You actually can adjust seat height in real Cessna as well as slide it back or forward . Some shorter pilots even use cushion to sit higher !

Shift+E is still FAR too low for a realistic pilot viewpoint.  I like the aircraft, but they need to change the viewpoint.

Who, me?  I have seen your video, but shift E will only go so far up, which is too low for seeing over the instruments and some of the cowling.

I don't understand.  why don't you just change it in the general settings or is it still wrong.

Takes all of ten seconds

You can change your seating position to your liking and then save it as the new default.

Yep, done this too with the Vision Jet (which is the only plane I fly). They changed the default view in SU1 and imho it sucks bug time: it's as if you are lying on your back in the seat. Too low, too much looking up, you can't even see the knobs  you can see in real life, in short: really bad view... So I created my own view. Simply use the various keys there are to change your view (height, angle, tilt, left/right, etc.) and then save it with a key combo (can't check which one it was right now). The view is saved locally on your PC which is quite nice because that view will also be used after updates etc. and you can make a backup of it.

Is it just me, or can anyone else start off in a ramp position cold & dark in the 185? I cannot get to the outside walk around mode to remove chocks, etc. and plane won't start. Is that why the first comments in the video above is that they started successfully on runway? So, Asobo just released this aircraft like this? I know it's "free", but is there any care whatsoever? Or - maybe its just me or my setup? My other aircraft work just fine...

If you still don't know if it's just you why are you already criticizing Asobo? That's funny. But to answer your question, yes it's just you.
