AIG traffic

Recommended Posts

Trying to reinstall it, but have a lot of errors, and traffic in big airports is hardly noticeable.

I had never such problems with AIG, at Dubai i used to have 100 planes, now have 2 ...

Tried to reinstall AIG Manager, AIG Traffic Control, deleted all and reinstalled a few times - no luck, a lot of errors and very sparse traffic.

Anyone have experienced similar ?

Reinstalling AI Manager was probably not a great idea if you had a solid setup prior to that. There have been lots of downloading issues lately and they are working on figuring out why.  Just have to wait until it's fixed.

I downloaded and installed AIG Traffic Manager and Controller this week for the 1st time after reading about it here.  Everything went swimmingly well with the initial setup, but when I began installing models and flight plans, things went South in a hurry.  Using the "Quick Install" feature, I first tried Europe and soon it was freezing on downloads.   So, I tried the North America Quick Install and the same problem - this time when downloading American Airlines models.   Then tried "Global" and again it bombed on installing American.

I fought it for hours and finally deleted my database and started over, this time setting it for no manual downloads and no Payware, and just trying the Global Quick Install.   Again it hung on American Airlines.

I think I'm going to remove it and try something else.  If they report all is fixed I will try again.

@SnoBrit, the secret is to start slowly with just one or two airlines. Try British Airways and American Airlines. Just those two.

Then locate to EGLL and KDFW where those two have hubs and you should see plenty of Ai.

Install AiCompanion so you can see how many Ai have been injected into the sim.

I prefer to use BGLs as those are more controllable than AIGFP files.

I have over 1300 BGLs installed and no issues whatsoever.

Neither do I although I use AIGFP. I just updated everything this last weekend and had no problems.

They seem to be having problems with isolated download sites at the moment. I use MSFS 2020, and it is impossible to update my database at the moment. I assume that P3D users are suffering from the same problems.

Not had any problems whatsoever in the last 24 hours.  The app updated itself yesterday, flight plans updated ok, installed 20 or so new airlines, same today with no problems at all.

Thanks for the tips everyone and maybe I will try again this time with BGL and just poking in a few airlines.

I was going to get the AICompanion and see if that helps but the download link that @Ray Proudfoot provided is on the AIG Forums and even though i registered 4 days ago I still have not been verified so I can't get it yet.   Maybe I need to re-register?

Question:   When you are just installing specific airlines, what all do you have to install besides flight plans and AI aircraft models?

One of the reasons I tried using Quick Install was because I didn't know what I was doing when poking around and the manual doesn't say much about the underlying requirements.
