Thanks a lot, I will give this one a try, too, as it looks as if it can replace my PredatorSense that also monitored CPU and GPU temperatures as well as fans control.

Kind regards,

Multiple reports that this driver breaks temperature reporting after waking a PC from sleep, so keep that in mind before troubleshooting monitoring programs.

Just installed MSFS 2020 (clean sim with World and City Updates) on new rig with 5070Ti and 576.2 drivers - get contstant CTD on startup with faulting module 1BO_E658703,dll. Win11 here.

Any idea what this might be?

FWIW, I read on the Asobo thread these drivers only seem to work with DX12.  I can’t remember where but you can set DX12 to default in a config file.  If you find out how (google) you might try elsewise a DDU uninstall will probably be needed.  Good luck!

Thanks for the input. Actually I was able to find a solution, thanks to ChatGPT - Nvidia APP with the module above has a conflict with MSFS2020 recent drivers, hence I had to installed it and now I have no issues - sim starts without CTD.

Now I'm confused and I have no idea what might replace Nvidia App, since I like it pretty much, especially its overlay

Turned out it's more complicated than I thought. When I tried to reinstall NV APP, it automatically switched mode to DX12 for MSFS2020, so btacon was right. Hence, as with my new 5070Ti I would not be able to revert to earlier drivers, I have to accept DX12 reality within MS2020 Realm.

Maybe the Nvidia App optimized MSFS settings as soon as you reinstalled?

That's exactly what it did. Any manual attempt to switch back to DX11 results in MSFS 2020 CTD on start-up. Hence, you either live with NV App and MSFS 2020 (DX12) or without NV App and MSFS 2020 (DX11)

@MrBitstFlyer did it help?  Hope so for your sake.

No, did not help.  I have spent several more hours today trying to solve the issue.  If 2024 doesn't crash when clicking 'fly now', the flight never lasts more than 3-4 minutes before a CTD, or the PC hangs requiring a reboot.  I have run TLA, DLSS, FSR 3, AutoFPS/no Autofps,  RiverTuner/no Rivertuner and countless other combinations of settings.

I had high hopes this latest Nvidia driver would solve my issue because of the many fixes it contains, but no go.  I have tried every driver from 566.36 onwards (all uninstalled in safe mode with DDU).  I have used Memtest to check my memory is ok, removed the processor and replaced the thermal paste.  Every single system driver (chipset/sound) etc has been updated.  The bios has been flashed with the latest version.  2024 is looking amazingly good, so I am more than upset I can't get it working.  When SU2 is released, I will not have a working 2024 (SU1 works ok, but of course I will lose that option).

Yesterday I made sure XP12 was fully up to date. I installed the XP12 version of the Map Enhancement tool so I will at least have satellite imagery everywhere.  I update SimHeaven and Global Forests.  XP12 itself runs fine - my first flight ran for a couple of hours without issue.

EVERYTHING else works good on my PC - games and other software.

Did you manage to fix this? I had the same issue after updating my graphics driver and installing the app. From what I can find it seems to related to DLSS4. My sim would start loading but some of the loading images would be jerky followed about midway through the load by the sound crackling then a CTD.
The solution I found was to go to Program data\NVIDIA\NGX\models\dlss\versions and go through all of those numbered folders and when you find that .dll deleted it. I’m not sure what affect it has on DLSS but I don’t use it so no loss. Back up the folder versions folder in case you need to undo the deletions. Works case just reinstall the driver and or app.

You mean when you go back to SU1 the sim runs fine but if you get on SU2 beta it crashes?

Are you sure it's not an addon causing the crashes? Even with an empty community folder you can still have marketplace addons enabled.

Not saying you will get these inprovements in msfs, but it seems that this new driver does come with some performance gains:
