Flying her now, I love it. Presumably the livery pack will include the alternative and optimised textures? Oh yes absolutely.. looking forward to various other reviews from the usual (competent) suspects. Whether it's the most advanced GA or not, from all what we've seen so far this bird sure looks to be a humdinger 🙂 Edited June 11, 2025Jun 11 by lwt1971 Len 1980s: Sublogic FS II on C64 ---> 1990s: Flight Unlimited I/II, MSFS 95/98 ---> 2000s/2010s: FS/X, P3D, XP ---> 2020+: MSFS Current system: i9 13900K, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5 4800 RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD

Just then custom systems for the Starship itself are enough to vault this to top tier. IDK.. maybe I just want to see Matt Nischan and Nick duke it out over the Number One slot! 🤣 Edited June 11, 2025Jun 11 by UrgentSiesta

June 13, 2025Jun 13 A couple of more recent reviews and first looks... https://fselite.net/content/first-look-black-square-starship/ Conclusion: "Black Square’s Starship for Microsoft Flight Simulator is a testament to both an extraordinary aircraft and the developer’s commitment to creating hyper-realistic add-ons. From its faithfully recreated, quirky avionics and “old school” navigation options to its incredibly detailed systems modeling and authentic flight dynamics, Starship offers an unparalleled opportunity to feel what it’s like to fly the real aircraft, an increasingly rare opportunity. As Nick Cyganski puts it, “Starship is a digital preservation of history,” and Black Square has successfully ensured that this revolutionary aircraft, along with all its eccentricities and achievements, continues to inspire and challenge pilots well into the future." Nick was sharing info about both the addon and the IRL aircraft, and V1 was saying how he was blown away by the amount of detail particularly in the Starship. Nick himself (very humbly) shared that, in his honest opinion, the BS Starship is indeed the most complex/complicated GA addon ever made for MSFS. He believes - in that regard, at least - it's peer-level to the Hot Start Challenger 650 in X-Plane. Which AFAIK, is generally regarded as one of the most complex "First Principles" flight sim addons of all time. For e.g., in another comment: he said the reason he developed all the system visualization in the EFB was to really demonstrate to flight simmers that all the systems/physics simulations are actually happening behind the scenes, even tho it's otherwise invisible to them. I'll tell ya, I was really torn between getting the iFly 737 or Starship this month, but listening to Nick has pushed me firmly back over to getting the Starship. I have plenty of under-utilized airliners, anyway 😁 Edited June 13, 2025Jun 13 by UrgentSiesta
