This aircraft certainly has a strong appeal for GA lovers, but being developed by Black Square puts it at the very top of any simulation for various reasons:

  • No hasty "early adopters" (read pay for an Alpha or Beta release),
  • Quality all over from what you see to what you don't see (i.e. extraordinary depth of systems!),
  • Did you read the released manual?!
  • Thorough release planning with several detailed videos which are much - much! - more than commercial teasers,
  • Explanations on said videos with a quiet tone of voice (no pushy sales speech),

All the above inspire confidence that you are about to live a special simulation experience when flying this aircraft! And should any last minute bug(s) make it to our PC, we know it will be addressed speedily and efficiently.

I usually never buy a product on release day, the Starship will be that exception.

Simply staggering, I’m unable to comprehend how this could have been developed by just one man, what an intellect !

In a relatively short amount of time, and in parallel with multiple other projects. Truly remarkable!

It's not so much that A2A are simple, but rather that they've become extremely unproductive vs back in FSX & Prepar3D.

I could understand the delay while they developed AccuSim v2.0 for MSFS, and the choice of the Comanche since that is personally owned by the developer...

But I'm rather surprised now that there's been no follow on aircraft in the last couple of years...? I understand the Aerostar twin piston is their next planned release (and they have an IRL one of those, too. But it suffered a hydraulic failure and bellied in...).

I can only hope (for their sake) that they're busy on some private commercial/gov/mil project and that's what's keeping them from consumer progress. 🙏

In any case, A2A don't seem keen on turbines or light jets (tho they've done some private work there).

And since Black Square apparently loves high fidelity turboprops, I'm more than willing to support their work.

Those starship previews are incredible. ANYTHING BLACKSQUARE IS DAY 1 PURCHASE FOR ME!! Can't wait for that and the C750 coming out. AND the Phenom 300 but I suspect that's still a long ways off.

AMD 5830X

Nvidia RTX 3060

Win 11

I'm also a big fan of Black square and just Flight. I'll be definingly adding the Star Ship and future planes to my hanger.

Finally, great times for the MSFS GA scene and getting better! Tubeliners had all the fun in the beginning hehe.
