  • The you will be very happy when you upgrade to 12.3 !!!!  So far we have cut the contribution to frame time by approximately 42% (my system) and there is more to come.

  • Very exciting times are coming. I had a good talk with Ben Supnik about future additions, and the future is definitely looking bright for X-Plane!

That actually means I can hopefully run VR without extreme sacrificing in XP12 after these much needed updates. I'm pointing my finger at improved cpu timing by 30%. My CPU frame timing numbers are much higher in XP12 than GPU numbers.

Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.

Considering all the issues we have with all the different ways AMD and Intel mess around with threads cores, I suspect initial beta may be plagued with bugs. All core thread related. Going to be a challenging one, but i supect thats a few weeks away yet, Next beta should be restively short.

The A330 upgrades are nice, but unless Laminar also does something about its abyssimal FPS (due to xlua's just in time compilation), it will remain a hangar queen for me.

I find it odd, with all the walkarounds, no one seems to mention xplane booth. Maybe was so short i blinked and missed it.

Did anybody mention officially or not if the work of implementing motion vectors has started?

Asobo not showing up is a bit of a slap in the face to the flight sim community. I flew 10 000 miles for the expo, on my own money. And I have done so, every year since 2018.
It’s not as if they can’t afford it.

Even Lockheed Martin have made an effort in the past. Clearly MS/Asobo are too big for it to be worth their while.

The Asobo team stated that they felt it'd be inappropriate to show up to the expo with the state of the sim. They felt their time would be better spent heads down working on the next sim update.
