I would say not so good...do you get any taxiway signs at all as I do not see any??  I also do not have any taxiway or runway lighting when I load in there.  I do see a lot of LOD swapping with the small objects.  Needs some work!

Yeah when I am on top of them they pop in to place. All in all it’s a bit of a mess, and it isn’t the only one unfortunately.

Sorry, but it's really not great. Cloud representation remains unchanged in this beta. With Active Sky, it's even prettier. If you're referring to performance, film takeoff or landing at London Heathrow or Frankfurt Airport with traffic.There is no performance issue, it is mainly a huge difference in performance when approaching large airports with unplayable jerks.Making a video at 30,000 feet is not very constructive.In addition with a resolution of 1080 we cannot even distinguish anything on the quality of the clouds

Well, it is for him. After the latest Beta I am also very impressed by the cloud formations I am observing. Currently focusing more and more on MSFS 2024 as things seem to be going in the right direction.

To me it looks good. AS is not an option for me as it is not Local based so the clouds are not sync’d over the network like the default Live Weather does. And when I look out of the left window the weather can be different from the weather I see out of the right window or in front of me.

If AS can show Live Local weather I would be very interested in that

When I think that with only two and a half sentences, without sketches, without photos and without videos, you convinced the entire world community and managed to masterfully transform the clouds of FS24 without too much effort. You are an exceptional person and if you could do the same for the cirrus clouds as well and the rest there will be no more debate.

You certainly don't know how to use Active Sky or you've never even used it.

Don't let them throw you.  All they are looking at are presets and live default weather is just as good or better since it is dynamic.  

Also the cirrus clouds seem to improve daily.

I thought the problem with AS is it can only show very local weather and paint it across the globe? Have they changed something so the skies on the left can look different to the skies on the right now?

That is not Local weather like the default MSFS Live engine uses. With Local Weather clouds are independent model/size/coordinate based, do the same cloud will show up on different pc’s at the same place and has the same shape.

If you use AS Passive Mode you are using the default Live Weather + AS Turbulence.

 

Btw : if you use the default MSFS Preset mode you also will not have sync’d clouds over a network.

Only the default MSFS 2020/24 Live Weather is capable of this.

Preset mode is general weather : the same around the plane.

I think the clouds in SU3 look fantastic. 

 

 

Used to use AS back in the 2020 days but I just can't deal with it's lack of depiction for distant thunderstorms, fronts etc. That's something live weather does great, and 2024 is doing good clouds - so don't see a need for it for my simming needs.

What about msfs 2024 24h historical weather, would it work like live?

I must admit that since transitioning to msfs 2024 I didn't have the need of using AS and I'm liking asobo's live/24h weather very much. The big big AS flaw right now of is that it has a very bad depiction of low visibility when rain is present, it reduces vis 2 or 3 times and you are always below minimums (this is using HW).
