July 15, 2025Jul 15 I’m wondering if updating DLSS will improve sharpness using DLAA. On the shipping version, I found DLAA notably softer than TAA on cockpit instruments.

So I just tried it (updating DLSS files using swapper) and comparing TAA to DLAA and the difference in instrument sharpness is negligible now whereas it was very obvious before. And distant objects are sharper now with DLAA than TAA... Like an airport lamp post off in the distance that was barely rendering with TAA is sharp and clearly defined. A hanger sign in the distance was also sharper with DLAA vs TAA. So it seems like a good switch to my eyes. And now turning on DLSS scaling to Quality has no impact on sharpness either and buys me some performance headroom. So I suggest it's worth a try - it's easy to roll back or just stick with TAA if you want.
July 16, 2025Jul 16 But the swapper itself doesn't change anything, or? Isn't it the DLSS version which makes a difference? However, tried with the latest a week ago and ghosting is not acceptable at my system Guenter Steiner -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Betatester for: A2A, LORBY, FSR-Pillow Tester --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With TAA, you get flickering and flashing all over the place, but of course those screens in the cockpit are absolutely sharp and no smearing visible. I can easily live with this slightly unsharp appearance and the smearing of the numbers vs. the overall impression of the graphics, which is imho just better using DLAA. July 16, 2025Jul 16 If you use FSR3 for frame generation as I do, using this to update FSR to 3.1.4 has made a noticeable difference with ghosting on the ground. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

When you run the sim this will show text data on the lower left and upper right parts of the screen, including which version of DLLS you're using, plus which Preset you're using, and other data.
