It would be really disappointing if the promises of sound improvement proves to be just lip service. Hopefully Boris is working on bailing 777 owners out if PMDG fails to deliver.

Still no improvement to the FBW/flight model.

Still no fix for the stutter issues report by many caused by the EFB.

The change log is a little under whelming for as long as we waited for it and all the delays but every little bit helps.

Hi all,

Does it still behave oddly in windy conditions?

Thanks.

Bruno.

Bruno Duarte

Every single one cosmetic only? I checked twice! That aux fuel pump threw me but in think they just added a sticker?

Who's reporting all these 'errors' anyway? Surely even those who don't care about systems and only eye candy don't care THAT much about some of these?

"iPad screws misaligned?!" 🤔😑

So you did not see any fixes regarding trim speed and TAC? Also, as mentioned by @Bruno Duarte, any adjustments to flight characteristics in windy conditions. If those are fixed, I entertain the idea of reinstalling.

Thanks.

Wow, you uninstalled it? Is it that bad? I was planning to pick up the 777-200 in a few weeks for 2024. It’s either that or the A350. I thought the 772 on whole was supposed to be a great plane and better the A350.

I read one member on the PMDG forums uninstalled it because they didn't like the wing flex!

Ahhh, it's a nice development; they put a lot of effort into many areas and succeeded, with the exception of implementing the trim speed and TAC behavior. And those two FBW features result in an unrealistic aircraft handling when off the autopilot (handflying).
The airplane in real life remains very stable under any conditions. If I compare it to the 747, it feels almost the same (same enjoyment in hand flying) with very little difference.
While @DavidP he thinks this is "white noise," considering that I flew the real airplane and obviously he didn't, I can assure you there is a significant discrepancy. That's the reason why it's not installed anymore on my PC.
Regarding what to buy, it's just your preference and decision.

I haven't bothered to fly it in a while, but based on the patch notes, it's basically just a cosmetic update.

Change log is nothing but cosmetic model fixes. Nothing with systems, sounds, FBW, the stutter issue with the EFB, etc…. I mean, all this time since last update and this is all there is? Top notch management there Robert.

Save your money. FBW is borked, sounds are trash and innovation and the EFB are two things that shall never meet.

Interesting. Updated the 773 yesterday, wanted to take it on a longhaul from EGLL to KBOS. All set per FMC and once I engaged Autopilot after takeoff it went in a nose dive. Could recover but than it refused to climb at a higher vertical speed than 200 ft in VNAV.
Gave up and canceled the flight. Will try again today.
