July 22, 2025Jul 22 Those are real photos from their "measuring", not from the aircraft in sim. You can even see the tape measure in one of them. At least a static photo is indicative of the FPS one can expect from their A380... after getting burned by their A350 I will never buy one of their unoptimised aircraft again.

There's already a quite decent A380 and it's free. So iniBuilds needs to deliver a product which is marginally better and justifies the price, whatever it will be. So the "pressure" is on them to deliver appropriate quality if they don't only care about Xbox customers.
July 22, 2025Jul 22 I assume I'll stay with the Fly-By-Wire's A380. I'm not prepared to purchase something that will have dozens of updates every month. I have to lower my graphics settings to medium just to get rid of the stutters and to get rid of the constant VRAM warning message to go away. The A350 runs better than it. And yes, I'm running the 4k version with the cabin disabled. It is decent aircraft outside of that. Edited July 22, 2025Jul 22 by Tuskin38

I generally like them and have a few of their sceneries but man they crush the vram... not sure if they need better optimization or what. Which is interesting, because for me the A380 runs very good (2020, dev build), way better than the A350. Not that the A350 is unflyable, but it‘s my worst performing aircraft. So I doubt the ini380 will be better than FBW on my end.

July 23, 2025Jul 23 The FBW in 2024 is not optimized at all. I think when the version INI comes out and is native, and runs similar to the a350, it is possible I'll get it. But not at the price of the a350.

On my machine in MSFS 2024 the A350 runs fine, no crashes even letting it do a long haul overnight while I sleep. The FBW A380 I get VRAM pop ups even with the cabin disabled via click spot and medium settings at 1440p. That's on an Asus B550-F Mobo with 64GB RAM and a 16GB RTX 4070ti Super. I like FBW but you're right about optimization in 2024. Can't fault them as they're a volunteer group and what they've accomplished so far is almost miraculous. But if iniBuilds can pull off an A380 comparable to the current iteration of the A350 before FBW can get rebuilt for 2024, then I'm buying.
July 23, 2025Jul 23 I love the FBW A380. however… Purchasing and flying the A350 as my only sim plane for awhile has shown me what the FBW plane is missing in regard to displays and MCDU functionality. From an outside perspective, the 350 and 380 seem to share some systems/programming so it is my belief that iniBuilds will have a leg up when they are ready to release this plane.. Im going to get the iniBuilds A380. Whether it’s after a few patches or on release. I was pleasantly surprised that they keep updating their offering in a timely manner to squash bugs. I can support a company like that versus one that takes several months to fix the most mundane of things. The attention to fixing errors/bugs have converted me to a supporter of their aircraft.
