When you say skip to TOD how do you do that? I love FSIPanel. Thanks

Personally, I love it.  I think whether it's worth it to an individual comes down to how they mostly use the sim.  I know that there are a lot of folks who mostly use it to "roleplay" pilot;  these ar

The intent of the UI design is to emulate the instructor panel of a level D simulator.  It's certainly not one for one but there are aspects that are familiar if you've operated those simulators, whic

I never had any issue in getting smooth landings in a sim, or in reallife for that matter, until I purchased the Fenix A 320. I fly in a VA, and they post landing rates for completed flights on their website, and you could always pick out the Fenix A 320, because the landing rates compared to all the other aircraft, were terrible.

I decided to buy FSI Panel, so I could practice landing the Fenix, and I finally got it to where the landings were acceptable after a hundred or so, practice landings with FSI Panel.  That is the only aircraft I have had to use FSi Panel for. Now that I rarely fly the Fenix, FSi Panel sits unused.

The landing dynamics of the whole Fenix A32x fleet have changed enormously in the latest update/BFU, so if you've not flown it for a while, might be worth giving it another go.

It used to be very floaty, so I'd got into the habit of pulling the power off much earlier in the flare to avoid this.

Now it's much more similar to land to the 737 I've found, if you also fly that. Stop the descent at 30 feet with a gentle pull of the nose and don't pull the power out until 20 feet, or you'll drop it in like a brick.

I even use it with BATC and BATC picks up at the correct point and provides ATC just as if I'd done the whole flight.

I found a video tutorial, and it says the Advanced Version of FSiPanel is required for the iFly... that seems like a cash grab to me. Not going to buy it after all. Maybe if he made it work with the Standard Edition, I would buy. Ah well.

Can you use the built-in replay tool in MSFS 2024 to do something similar and load your plane at a previously saved approach?

The video tutorial you found is nonsense. The iFly works fine with the standard version and is well worth the money they charge.

Hmm... The video tutorial is by the mod author himself, and he says you need the Advanced Edition, in the opening statements in the first 30 seconds...

Ahaa, I tried it for you this afternoon in 2020, and it worked fine. Assumed it would be the same in 2024, but no, you do indeed need the advanced version for that sim. FWIW, it's a great piece of software.

I found a way to practice my approaches and landings for free using the built in recorder tool. So for me, it's not worth $50USD.

The FSI Panel does a heck of a lot more than just using a flight recorder, that's for sure.

I don't doubt it, but that's the main use case for me.

I enjoyed using FSi Panel, but I was hoping that it would include a database of all the complex RNAV/circle to land/visual approaches. They can be done, but you have to do some work to set them up. I was hoping to be able to just press a button, and everything would be calculated and prepared.

But isn't that just a matter of selecting that in FMC or you need to perform some additional steps?
