I agree. I tried the AirborneGeek preset, and it's looking good.

So a sky with a pinkish tink looks realistic to you? I think his presets are awful.

Hello all!

I’m sorry I’m a bit late to this party, I went on holiday the day after Atmos 2024 was released and have only just got back.

I am the creator of the AB MSFS presets, which I note a lot of you seem to be using.

It may not be the case now, but when I left the AB MSFS presets were showing on the Home splash screen as top presets (or whatever the terminology is).

But these were not updated when I edited them and the ‘proper’ ones had to be found by searching manually on the weather, Atmos, envro tabs. I hope that makes sense…

I’m just wondering, those of you that are using them, are you taking these from the Home Screen or by actually searching?

I also only had a few hours to tweak these before I went on holiday, and now I’m back I have more time to properly get them good. I’m therefore more than happy to receive any suggestions on how they could be improved.

Though of course they are designed primarily for own set up and monitor and what looks good/realistic to me on that…

Anyway I’m glad people are enjoying Atmos, it’s certainly a game changer I think, and now I’m back, I’m looking forward to having more of a play with it!

The ones on the homescreen are not bad, but I find them overall too dark. Compared to the more natural blue of the default atmosphere your presets all used together give a look that seems more suited for days were the weather is about to turn bad in a few hours. Or like wearing polarized sunglasses.

I look outside and this is simply not how the sky looks to the naked eye.

I don't understand why, but you counterintuitively have to push the button below the search field that says "search only public sets" so it says "on" instead of "off".

This worked out. Thanks mate!

Speaking for myself, I am using your atmos preset from the homescreen and are perfectly happy with it for most situations. I am using  Quest 3.

I think much will depend on your screen. If you increase atmosoheric depth (I think it is called), you will regain the blue sky colour

I coughed up the 13 bucks, since I like to support REX, who, generally, make outstanding products.

I feel I got my money's worth.

You do need to experiment with the sliders.

Does anyone know what the update function is for on the presets, and how to use it?

Are the edited ones named differently than the ones in the Home Screen?

Sounds like his monitor maybe needs to be calibrated, no pink for me either.

My monitor was just calibrated last week.

So many variables to consider.

Forgot I am also using HDR and Reshade, so my colors will certainly be different.

Next time I am up I have to de-activate reshade and see what it looks like.

Then again, different monitors, different lighting in the room, etc...etc.

I don't use HDR, since my monitor doesn't support it and I don't use reshade.

I tell you these presets have pink hue in the sky. It makes the sky look like lilacs.

OK I see it now. Worse for me with the AB settings though. My reshade setting gets rid of it  that is why I did not see it at first

But again, depending on your monitor it can still work for some even if it does not for you.

I am sure you could fix it with a tiny bit of tweaking.
