They seem to have stopped using roman numerals

and we dare to complain

I don't think we complain either. But in order for them to sell their product, they need to step up their game. Staying in P3D/FSX standards with today's tech wont make them sells.

Yeah, they are afraid that SU 30 will be censored in UK 🙂

Things have come full circle. The very first WU was Japan and it came out of nowhere. As far as I remember, we weren't promised free world updates before that and they just dropped it on us without warning. And they kept coming.

As others have pointed out, not every country is going to be cooperative or have the data readily at hand to give to Asobo. In the meantime, it makes sense for them to keep improving areas of the world that provide more accurate data rather than just sitting on it.

Any word from Samscene about their sceneries and WU20 if any updates to their Japan sceneries will be needed?

Just done a quick tour round Tokyo with the WU20 and Samscene Tokyo enabled and didn't notice any immediate issues.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

Just tried a flight into Tokyo Haneda.

At least 2 of the runways are what I can only describe as trenches. There is a 4 to 5 foot drop from the surrounding airport scenery, making it impossible to taxi off the runway.

Havent flown into Tokyo in the sim for a while but dont remember this issue pre todays update.

They knocked it out of the park with this update. I’m thankful they continue to invest resources in updating the planet’s digital twin. But candidly, the lack of gratitude and grousing from the flight sim community that comes every time they do make an improvement; well, I’m surprised anyone would want to develop anything for this community.

So reading through at that link it appears this update applies to FS2020 as well?

I admit to feeling a bit of pride at knowing my Roman numerals, but in a world where script is considered outdated, I suspect Roman numerals are probably gibberish to a growing majority.

Yes.

Kitakyushu Airport is beautifully made. All the airports look good, but I think Kitakyushu looks the best. Though they didn't make any localized textures for the arrival/departure boards lol, all the flights are to/from UAAA. But how many people are actually going to take the camera inside the terminal and notice.
