I think funny enough the 4x time acceleration limit kinda killed it for me. It's supposed to be a long-haul plane but I just don't see myself having anywhere enough time to even do short trips in this thing. But maybe that's a more of a me problem. On week days for anything longer than 6-7 hours I set it up to run over night and set my alarm to about half an hour before T/D If it's the weekend I just watch TV and check on it every hour or so. I just can't do that. If I fly I want the immersion - doing proper ATC, oceanic reports, fuel balancing, weather avoidance, etc. Back when I had way more time I'd do a saturday afternoon just whizzing around the pacific in a DC-6, doing just that. These days with a kid I'm lucky if I can sit down to fly for a few hours once a month.
October 3, 2025Oct 3 Moderator I’m very much looking forward to this release. I’ve been on many A340 flights between Europe and the US in the 90’s and I fell in love with this underpowered but smooth and especially safe airplane. Cheers, Pete I9-13900K, RTX 4090, DR5-6000MHZ, CORSAIR ICUE H150I ELITE, ASUS PRIME Z790-P, THERMALTAKE TOUGHPOWER GF3 1350W, WIN 11
October 3, 2025Oct 3 I thought the previews were good but it is hard to tell about bugs and system depth. Sounds need improvement as they sounded very lacklustre to me. Marketplace is a no go for me for the reasons others have cited. The crazy delays for adobo to approve updates—I just have no understanding of how that is still going on this far. I really like the A340 but the 300 is too underpowered for me. I’m hoping they are planning on a 600 next, that I would snap up in a hurry! AMD 5830X Nvidia RTX 3060 Win 11

You'll be able to transfer your marketplace purchase to the ini manager once the exclusivity is up. So there's really no harm buying it before then. You'll be in the same boat as everyone. Asobo has also gotten a lot better at pushing marketplace updates faster. 24 minutes ago, Purr said: I’m hoping they are planning on a 600 next Aerosoft is doing the -600 with Toliss. I haven't seen any other reports the other people streaming it having WASM crashes so far, just CptCanada. Edited October 3, 2025Oct 3 by Tuskin38

October 3, 2025Oct 3 Marketplace, inibugs and a climb performance like a Dc6...no thank you 🤭😂 (The hate is strong about this one, they had to adapt ctr's with lower altitudes because of the A340...made GA flying more pita, back in the days...I am getting old, though...😂)

October 4, 2025Oct 4 Marketplace hell no but the latest A350 patch my sim is smooth as silk looking forward to their A380. Edited October 4, 2025Oct 4 by MikeH99

The A330 still has WASM crashes, the A350 had lots and lots of WASM crashes (and still has some), it's fair to assume the A340 will have those too for many users. They likely just copy&pasted systems from the A350 and A330 (how else are they releasing another airliner 6 months after the A350?), so it will at least have the amount of WASM crashes those two still have, possibly more. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

You don't know that. Every system is different. I've had PMDG FMS issues crash on me more than Ini planes which I can count on one hand. It seems anytime Ini planes are talked about the negative nancys can't help themselves. Edited October 4, 2025Oct 4 by MikeH99

The ini airliners are largely a copy paste from one to another, especially things like FMC. E.g. the A330 has the same bugs in INIT B page as the A300 does. Your argument - which by the way is purely anectodical evidence and nothing more - also doesn't come across any more reasonable if you call people derogatory names.
