Great, marketplace only during a "few months". Thank you Microsoft, whatever you put your finger on definitely gets noticed. In a BAD way.

Christ.

Why are you solely blaming Microsoft? For all we know it was (also) ini’s idea

i don’t think it has been said either way

From their discord. Not much has been revealed obviously but it's in there somewhere buried deep into the hundreds of complaints that followed.

Looking at the Pre-release youtube footage of flight simmers flying it, the Sounds are horrible, rehashed from A350. It feels like a A340 Skin rather than built from ground up

It’s possible they haven’t finished hooking up the new sounds yet

I just wonder about three things: how performance-heavy will it be on the system? How often will it WASM-crash? How much simrate accelleration does it support? I'd love to fly ini's airbuses but these three things hold me off...

Just dipped into one of the live streams - EFB shows 4x max, like the A350. I don't understand why they limit it to that citing these ridiculous "there's no computer strong enough to run it at more than 4x" reason. With SU4 Beta, even the A350 performs well in terms of FPS. I can get it up to 8x/16x and it runs just fine via the sim key command but the fuel burn stays at 4x.

Raised it on their forums and they were going to "pass it on". Nothing will ever happen of course. At least PMDG get it right, their sim rate implementation is the best there is and I can use 8x/16x without any issues - which in my opinion is crucial if you want to sell me a long haul aircraft. I simply don't have time to fly for 3-4 hours at at time, which is what you get doing a 12 hrs flight with 4x.

It’s confirmed that you will be able to transfer your purchase to the ini manager once the exclusivity is up

Ok this changes things. I’ll definitely will be getting it since I will be able to abandon the marketplace as soon as possible

On discord, there is at least one person who is still waiting for months for that to happen with some other addon. It's not a quick nor easy process it seems. I'd rather just wait even if it is way way up on my airliner preference.

Considering ini is directly partnered with Microsoft here, I imagine they've worked out something easier/quick.

That’s for performance reasons. Nothing to do with reused code. Displays in MSFS are still expensive on performance. Plus apparently it’s very rarely used by pilots anyways.

It's one of those things, and the price will determine how I feel about it. If it's more the same, or more expensive than, say, the PMDG 777LR ($50USD), my tolerance for these things declines. Sure, it's not used much and I doubt I'd use it. But on a paid add-on, it's a strike against from the start. If something obvious like that is missing, what else is?

Now if it comes in much less sure.

They claim the price will not change from store to the manager. So whoever buys it in the store, will eventually get it transferred to the IniManager (even if it takes a year or something). Also from Discord.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was priced the same as the A350.

Nuno,

I own the 350 and I am very glad with my purchase.

It's a shame that TAP no longer has it's 5 GPU 340 in the fleet, but HiFly has one, so I'll do my best to get an HiFly livery 🙂

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

That Gatwick landing at the end of the preview vid looked like it was filmed at 9FPS... Didn't do the 340, Gatwick or 24 any favors with that approach and landing.  😞

As always, great eye candy with ini though.  It looks amazing.   But then again CaptainSim's models always looked great too LOL

It's a lovely aircraft, can't wait to get my hands on it, but.... yeah i'll just wait for the IniManager version, i just don't deal with marketplace stuff.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I plan my flights for the time I have available.  If I have only an hour to fly, I plan a short hop flight.  I have never once used a 2X, 4X, 8X feature to get to my destination quicker.

I will get after it comes out of the Marketplace Exclusive phase and if the reports on it's fidelity are promising. But not sooner.

One thing to consider why it's in the marketplace: career compatibility.

I think funny enough the 4x time acceleration limit kinda killed it for me. It's supposed to be a long-haul plane but I just don't see myself having anywhere enough time to even do short trips in this thing. But maybe that's a more of a me problem.
