In all honesty, I think this will be a much smoother launch than the A350. If the plane had major issues, it would have been called out by streamers/viewers by now.

I believe that's indeed going to be the case.

I plan to buy it through the store as soon as it get's released, and then later I may decide to transfer it to the Ini Manager, but I am so happy with the 350 as it is now that I strongly believe that they've lerarned a lot from the problams with it and the default buses in FS 2024, so it should be a more polished release.

Then, this particular Airbus that served with TAP for 2 decades, model 340-300, betwen 1994 and 2017 to 2019 when the last was sold. Their registrations of the 4, CS-TOA..CS-TOD are always remembered by me, as well as some plane spotting moments near LPPT's then 03 (now  02), and sometimes 21 ( now 20) too!

Thankfully another operator I'm very fond of, HiFly, still operates a 343, "9Y-TQY", so I will probably try to find a livery for it - I don't know how to do one, otherwise I would surely try to 🙂

And... btw, yet another nice vid, this turn around by A320Pilot :

IRL I have more time in 4 engine aircraft than any other types.  I have always liked the A340 as I though it was an elegant aircraft, and a comfortable on etc ride on.   I'll spare you my Airbus tirade flying wise.

Probably not a purchase any time soon after expecting a lot more from the A350 project.  The 2020 A350 flew OK and I expect that the 2024 version is largely a port over.  The 2020 version flew "OK" but the 2024 version was virtually un flyable until recently.   I've been working on the flight dynamics for a 2024 aircraft (and have converted others) and began doing the work in 2020 sim, which turned out to not be so much of a head start.  MSFS has disabled many of the parameters in the flight dynamics files and relies increasingly on the dynamics of the aircraft "physical" body.   This can leave what were essential parameters inop.

Anyway after a gazillion updates it flys mostly OK.   Not having flown real Airbus Aircraft I can't comment but Fenix seems to do OK.

The A350 2020 version was the port over. The 2024 version is the primary version.

They didn't even plan to release a 2020 version of the A350 until the 2024 only announcement backlash and issues of MSFS2024's launch reared its head.

I thought it was first announced for MSFS in December 2023 and then they changed plans for being an MSFS 2024 exclusive.

I checked some youtube streamers featuring the inibuilds and did not hear any engines on take off.

Why are the sounds always lacking, very annoying. What do you think?

Take a look on the real thing:

Just for curiosity: is it there a way to see which ones are available? I'm away from my rig until tomorrow.

Just because I'm feeling patience today with someone who is not patient enough to wait until he is at home I looked it up for you and wrote it down. 😉

Oh, thank you both, @Farlis and @Tuskin38! Now I'll have to be patient to wait until the liveries I want show up... or until I get brave enough to learn to repaint for MSFS😂

What operators still fly the A340 P2F?
