Community-Driven Project

This project has been special for us, built not only with reference material and data, but with the people who live and work there every day.

Our development team has been collaborating closely with members of the Manchester Airport Group and the wider aviation community, including ramp staff, engineers, and pilots who call EGCC home.

Their feedback has been invaluable, from ensuring airside vehicle layouts match real-world operations, to helping us fine-tune building placements, signage, and lighting for a truly authentic feel.

Many fond real world memories of flying into EGCC to see the family in Leeds over the years...

Also my worst security experience in all of my years and hundreds of thousands of miles flown but that's another matter altogether!

At one point there was also a Manchester Airport branch line in TS along with the Trans Pennine route and I literally used to replicate my entire journey LOL.  Hi, my name is Paul, first time here and yes, I am THAT big of a geek, nice to meet everyone.

I flew into Manchester 2 weeks ago on easyJet A321neo and I managed to get in the cockpit for a good 15 mins before we left Charles de Gaulle, the captain  was very chilled and let me request clearance for the flight on the MCDU … it was just MEGA…. I so knew my way aground the FlightDeck … loved it! 🤣👍

Regards

Flew in and out of Manchester (from Belfast) many times each year visiting family in South Yorkshire. Will certainly look forward to this and surprised it has taken so long given how busy the airport is

Manchester is my home airport. Looks good so far hopefully lives up to expectations including the hump on 23R. The community have needed a much needed update.

Not a single mention of the flagship BA Concorde G-BOAC in their blurb. I trust they do know Manchester is home to one of only seven BA Concordes. Housed in its own hangar near the Runway Viewing Park.

Would anyone care to mention this to inibuilds please?

@SierraDeltasays you’re Rob Abernathy! We go back over 20 years with Radar Contact. Hope you’re keeping well. Pity we couldn’t have met when you visited Manchester. I’m guessing by the snow on the Pennines it was some time ago.

Sorry Ray - it's Rob Ainscough who was the P3D configuration guru back in the day.

Thanks Soren. I know Rob from his many useful posts here. He retired for a while but it’s nice to see him back albeit incognito. 😁

In their screenshots Ray you can see it through the windows of an enclosure it is in.
