December 1, 2025Dec 1 I'm a VFR only simmer and I'm getting very old with all these videos that could be wrap-up in 3 text paragraphs😉 Did someone find a kind of timeline with some dates somewhere? I'm not looking for a detailed planning. I know no dev is able to commit but are we talking of Q1 or Q4? 😉 Edited December 1, 2025Dec 1 by vbazillio Vincent B. Modern times. 🙄 But in this case it's rather a pp presentation. No dates given. A roadmap. Scroll through the slides...😉 'It is better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.'

VFR Stage 1: Clerance request, enter/exit circuts, full stops, touch & Gos VFR Stage 2: Airspace classes, airspaces rules, enter/exit airspaces, extended FIRs, vertical FIRs VFR Stage 3: VFR unification, full VFR Flights. Conclusion: VFR won't launch feature complete in accordance with our Early Access development model. Edited December 1, 2025Dec 1 by vbazillio Vincent B. December 1, 2025Dec 1 Will this VFR be region specific as the way VFR works with ATC differs around the world? For instance in Australia you need a clearance to enter controlled airspace but apart from that are largely on your own. EDIT OK I see from two posts above that this will be covered. Imo they have a lot of work to do for GA IFR flights. Seems like they don't feel the same lol. I just got back into using BATC and I agree with you completely. IFR flights really go off the rails every time when I get to descent and approach (and not only for GA, in my experience). I'm not particularly upset by it as I know they're developing still, but it makes me wonder if they'll be able to pull off the level of accuracy they're likely hoping for.
December 1, 2025Dec 1 Ive been using SI a lot more than BATC lately. Honestly SI seems like they’re really working hard at making it great. Ron Hamilton "95% is half the truth, but most of it is lies, but if you read half of what is written, you'll be okay." __ Honey Boo Boo's Mom

They sure have a long way to go. They do not even recognize EASA Phraseology at this time, or clear multiple aircraft to land, as if everywhere would do it like it's done in FAA land.
