I have never seen the point of Flow.  I got the freeware version but quickly uninstalled it.  What am I missing.

Nothing.  Some people like it and some don't. Simple as that.

I also bought it for 2020 and uninstalled it after a while.

I just bought the upgrade for about £2 and will try it again in 2024 after SU4 is launched, to see if I got it wrong the first time.

I think the usual suspects in awe of everything calling it a "Game Changer" didn't help my expectations the first time.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

What are you guys using the 2024 toolbar for anyway.  Trying to wrap my head around it. This thing is pretty expensive. I can count on my hands the number of times I have used the toolbar.

Immersion wise for me it’s nice to hide the toolbar menu from constantly appearing. Also you don’t risk not being able to hit click spots at the top of the screen when glancing upwards because the mouse is in the area where the the toolbar appears, getting in the way. I also like the very clean and modern interface and the downloadable widgets you can add. I definitely missed it and am glad it's back.

I had a widget in 2020 to change the ATC callsign without leaving the flight. Also you are able to change many graphic/Audio settings while in flight without leaving to the menu. That's in my point of view the real strength of Flow

Do you know how to activate the Landing Rate monitor?

It's so annoying when you click something on your MCP and open something from the toolbar instead.

I cannot get the 'active pause' within Flow Pro MSFS 2024 to work. This as many will know also halts the flow of fuel etc when active.

Anyone help me to get it working?

I have watched both of the Huddison youtube videos of the new Flow Pro for MSFS 2024. In one of them he has placed the active pause on the wheel, and when he selected active pause it went green and the simulator paused. When I do the same, the active pause goes green momentarily and then the wheel disappears and the simulator does not pause. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the new Flow Pro and get the same outcome each time.

It is such a great feature for me and I am keen to get it working - any guidance is appreciated.

Strange that has never happened for me.

It's when your view is low and the MCP is at the top of the screen. When you move the mouse to the top of the screen to change something on the MCP, you activate the toolbar.

Not sure that is enough for me to buy the product, but is close.

I just updated Flow and now it won't open with my shortcut key. I've disabled the FS toolbar so I can't open it from there either.

To reset settings, you need to open Flow.

So now I have no Flow and no toolbar, can anyone help me get either back?

You should review the FAQ on the homepage.

Press and hold the left CTRL key and Flow should appear. Then go through the tutorial again; you can reactivate the key press in the tutorial.

Well that was embarrassingly simple to fix, thanks Alti.

I'll blame it on my hangover.

I only knew that because I had the same problem yesterday. I spent a really long time looking for the solution 🙂
