Months ago there were cows on farmland but I haven't seen any in forever, however I have seen hay bails recently.

It actually wouldn't surprise me that was a real, coded feature! 😎

Maybe they are playing Peek a boo behind the bails? or like others said they went to the barn.

Did you install the Farm simulator Add-on?

I really would love to see a whole lot more 'life' in MSFS 2024 and beyond.  Despite having fauna set at ultra it's exceedingly rare to see any wildlife near any rural airport that may well have deer or moose etc.  I was thankful to find FSBirds.  I'd love to see much more.  Traffic moving in and out of airport parking lots, dogs on streets, deer/moose/caribou/etc near rural airports, cows/sheep/goats in pastures.  It's a wide open digital twin and I hope it heads this way sooner than later!

You know, when I wrote that it was a joke.. and then I started thinking the exact same thing. It would make sense that this is actually a feature.. given that they have gone to some lengths to make a living world (native trees, insect/bird sounds, stars.. all that is accurate), it might actually be a coded feature. 

 

Maybe we should ask that on the next dev q/a. Heck, if it isn't a feature, I'm sure they'll add it!

Strange how a flightsim with fauna didn’t add birds.. FSbirds is good enough though. I second the living world thing, forest fires, active volcanoes etc. in Free Flight.

I bought it when it first came out just to support the idea.  I'd like to see more evidence of life globally where appropriate, not just on a few islands in one location--but it's a start.  Herds of cattle, sheep, and lots of regional wildlife. The current digital twin is a veritable blank slate ripe for this type of development.  Imagine flying your airliner pilot role into Tanzania, then fly a regional hop into areas where wildlife savannah predominate and do a helicopter safari!  What a hoot!  I think this would ultimately create more FS users

Yep, I have all editions of FSbirds.  They okay, but I would love to see them improved substantially, but for now, not bad.  Love it, fires, volcanoes yeah!  It is RIPE and I hope devs out there are appreciating the op. I think it could have very big audience compared to for example lesser airports, etc.  And this is key:  super high standards behaviorally, graphically.
