Chaseplane in MSFS2024

Hello everyone

Before buying it, I'd like to know if it only adds immersion in cockpit view?

I only fly the Fenix and never use external drone or other views...

Back in the day, I used EZDOK on P3D, it was a while ago...
And it added quite a bit of immersion during turbulence and head movements on takeoff and landing.

Is it worth buying just for flying in the cockpit or not? I find the default camera way too static, like it's on rails during every flight...

Thanks for your help

Have a good day

It's one of the main reasons I use Chaseplane. It does a decent job in this regard. EZDOK had much more setting options and I liked the results even more, but we don't have that choice anymore.

Do you have to cycle through different views?

CP is very flexible and provides multiple options.

You can assign something on a controller, typically a button or hat switch and/or assign a specific key binding for each view.

You can also assign multiple key bindings to the same view.

Therefore, in addition to having a specific key binding for each view, also adding a generic key binding enables you to scroll through all views by repeatedly pressing the same generic key.

Alternatively, assigning the same controller button or hat switch to each view will enable you to scroll through all views by repeatedly pressing the same button or hat switch.

Wonder if buying a StreamDeck will be a possible solution?

Crème de la crème but a less expensive option is Touch Portal

Just in case you're not already aware, another option is VoiceAttack which can be configured to control numerous things but, in this case, views using voice commands.

Yes. Open the Chaseplane window and click on the button at top right between the _ (minimize)and X (close). Looks like a rectangle with an arrow pointing out of it. I'm sure it has a name but I don't know what it is.

Then you caan move the window to a second monitor.

Is there any way when on an external view of stopping yourself from "going underground" I know part of the beauty of CP is that it removes the imaginary walls and allows more freedom of movement with the camera, but dropping below ground is a bit naff.

I am loving Chaseplane - but have one question. When I have setup all my views in say a variant of the Fenix A320, I assumed I could 'import' these to other variants of the same model. It has worked, but just now I setup all my desired views on a Fenix A321 variant and when I went to import them to another variant - I could not find the plane with the selected views. So, should I have somehow have saved the desired views, and if so how? Is there anyway that I can then rename the 'master' view variant as the Master?

Not that I know of...but that's such a good idea that I'd file a ticket with //42 and request it for a future build.

I very much agree.
It doesn't seem to be possible today. Maybe a feature request for an upcoming update?

I sent a support ticket in and got the following response.

"There is no setting to correct this. It is currently a limitation of the platform (MS2024)
we're working in unconventional ways to build unconventional tools. There are limitations, some we can overcome, some we cannot. This is one that is currently not overcome."

Had another reply this morning, things may be looking up (pun intended!)

It's been a while since I used CP in 2020 since I stopped using 2020 a year ago or so.  One thing I became used to and appreciated in the default camera system was when I hit the assigned button a 2nd time the view returns back to my main VC pilot view.  So I might hit a button assigned to a copilot view (or any other view) and when I hit that same button again I'm back to the main VC pilot view.  Is that an option in CP for 2024?  I couldn't figure out how to make that happen in CP in 2020.

That's how it works for me. I use the Numpad 0-9 for my cockpit views. 7 is the pilot view and 9 is the copilot view. If I press 9 it goes to the copilot view, if I press 9 again it goes back to pilot view. Does this with any cockpit view except when I have multiple views assigned to the same #.

The pilot view (7) is listed at the top in the Chaseplane Internal column. Don't know for a fact but that might be the reason for always returning to pilot view. Whatever's on top is the "master" ???
