I wonder how many customers have been able to get the loyalty discount without having the MSFS 2020 version?

They don't know what the loyalty word is meaning.

Ironically, I flew this just tonight while testing the new XP  12.4 Beta.

Love it, particularly on a windy final, and it sits on top of the excellent Zibo mod. But It’s not even close to as nice an experience.

And that’s pretty much how I felt about it BEFORE the v2024 738.

It's close enough that you don't have to spend the ridiculous amount PMDG charges to update their products if they end up charging $30 for each version.

I would assume that the loyalty discount will be 60% for each version. Charging $30 for the -600 would be a reduction of, well.......a cup of coffee

At a time last night when the majority of posters were saying the $30 price where you don't already own the -800 for 2020 was 'definitely not there any more' my son persisted and persisted, logging in, logging out, adding to cart, removing from cart, changing browsers, etc and after 20 minutes solid of this dance, it suddenly came up with the $30 price.

PMDG positively said that you'd only get the $30 price on the 2024 -800 if you already owned the -800 for 2020, so I think something must be broken in their pricing algorithm on their site.  But it seems if you're willing to persevere, it's still possible to get the reduced price.

Perhaps it's the coffee god karma teaching PMDG a lesson on respecting fair coffee prices! 😄

Chris:

If all goes as expected for the (MSFS2024) -600 variant that very few wanted in RW or virtual…🙂… (and one that the maker wishes to unload at a discount anyway, as in MSFS2020), then the prior owners, such as you and me, might get it for just $14 (60% off $35 US). Not bad…🙂

Of course, you have the additional (sunk) cost of the MSFS2024 itself.

So $30 is the price of a few cups of coffee now?  It must be expensive in the States.

OK, it's been released, and there's another growing post-release discussion, so this one is closed.
