His channel was one of the better flightsim channels on youtube. Solid reviews, concise and to the point. Not some 4 hour streaming nonsense. 

He seems to be awol. Last video posted 9 months ago.....

And the FlyingFabio took an aviation educator job.

I guess some folks have real lives outside fligjt simulation.

It’s funny that you’re saying this. Filbert himself said at one point that the reason he stopped doing the review videos was that they were far too time consuming to make and not profitable compared to his multiple hour streams.

But I enjoyed them too. 

I agree. One of the first YouTubers I subbed to. 
Last live stream was just a couple of weeks ago though.  

 

Speaking of missing people, I miss Cpt Piett. Hope that dude is ok. His videos were great.

I miss Filbert too! There's still a high demand for his reviews as unfortunately there are still many developers and shops out there that provide an incomplete set of screenshots.
That's bad for these particular developers as I can't buy an addon without knowing how key asprects were properly modelled and textured.
How often have I seen nice screenshots of a terminal on a product page, bought it, only to find out there was no rubber on the runway, runway textures were repetitive, RWY markings and approach lighting nothing but a mismatch to the real world.

What does the runway look like? We won't show.
How's the night lighting airside? You'll find out after you bought it.
Approach lighting correct on all runways? You're asking too many questions.

Filbertflies did a stream on Twitch I believe last week or might have been week before, might have been Youtube too, but definitely spotted him on Twitch, It was nice to see he was still about in some way, just not so much and yeh like you, I do miss his reviews.

A serious question: who has time to watch these marathon streams?

Maybe if you're retired, independently wealthy, unemployed, or a kid still in high school or college.

Wondering the same.
Some german flightsim youtubers doing hour long streams with more than 1000 people watching simultaneously.
Guess it's sort of a 1:1 replacement of what was "watching TV" in the past where people spent hours watching TV shows or documentation.
For me, youtube has replaced TV but I still haven't got the hang of those lenghty streams.

I put them on during work while I’m hashing out a coding session, it’s good background noise.

During V1s longer streams during cruise, he goes over particular air crash investigations and discusses his thoughts as a pilot on it. Which I personally find pretty interesting. I’m never attentive throughout the entire steam

Twitch really took off during Covid - lot of people "working" from home, watching live gaming streams IMO

He was a good one. After a while you learn which tubers to ignore.

I block any that take 20-minutes explaining what could be said in 2-minutes, all that have tutorials that include EVERY system test (none of which mean anything), and those that are chatting to everyone during a live stream.
