But 4.5 does not show in the app... only like 3.7 or so. I DO have the new beta nvidia app and I did install the new driver. I just changed it via the nvidia app in the MSFS game settings. I assume that does the same thing. I did that for each of the three settings on the left. Kind of unintuitive, but you need to select the one you want and then select Swap, which will download the file and then you have to pick it again and select Swap for it to swap out the existing file. On the right side, you select the preset you want to try. Finally, you can double check what's being used in the sim by finding the Nvidia registry entries that enable and disable the detailed information about what's being shown/rendered from the Nvidia driver (https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/1202) Edited January 6Jan 6 by mmcmah

So if I don't start the sim with the swapper running it won't use the latest? IE can I still use Addon Linker to launch the sim? January 6Jan 6 Hi All, I have loaded in the new 4.5 with the swapper and using preset K on a 4070tiSuper. In sim my frame multiplier is greyed out at 2X. Is this correct? Is the new 4.5 automatically making the FG changes? Jase

Sure you can use that feature, but that's just for convenience. And you don't need the NVIDIA APP to download drivers. Each installer of a new driver gives you the option to install the app and the driver, or only the driver. Edited January 6Jan 6 by Farlis

You don't need to run Swapper at all after you've set it up the way you want it - it's just a settings interface. You do need to exit the sim and relaunch if you want to try a different setting by running Swapper again. Edited January 6Jan 6 by mmcmah
January 6Jan 6 Early tests and it is better - it’s very interesting now. Previously I just couldn’t take the ghosting in numbers (speed tape, entering altitudes and all that) but I really liked the DLSS look when you look into the distance. No shimmering and so on. The ghosting was just too much to bear though. Now… things are more interesting because while there is still some ghosting, it’s vastly reduced and just about tipping into bearable for me. And DLSS does look better than TAA when you aren’t looking at fast moving stuff. I’m going to try a few flights over the next few days to see where I land with this. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
